Ever since I’ve tried this beanie I’ve never looked back. Unparalleled forehead/ear protection with superior breathability. This is coming from someone playing tournament pb jn Florida summers. Definitely worth trying out.
You should do more videos on summer heat setups/tips.
just don't wear beanies/stocking caps. I see so many people use winter caps. A bandana is all you need.
I commented this on an older video, man I really appreciate how you slowly and methodically explain everything. Me, with severe ADHD, this slow style really helps me focus and retain the info!!
I wear a "cooling towel/hoodie" from Walmart. Similar ones are sold on Amazon. Keeps you relatively cool and if you need more you can actually wet it and ring it out for a cooling sensation. Also the part that hangs down covers my neck. I think most construction guys wear similar things under their hardhats.

Compare this with the 2nd Skull cap. Similar pricing but their main draw is the actual patented head protection.

Been looking for something like this! Have the HK skull cap, but not a fan of how tight it is. Plus, its not nearly as nice looking without a mask on, or protective. This looks literally perfect. Just bought!
I’ve only played 4 times and just been using rental gear. What’s the purpose of a beanie and a headband? Would the beanie itself, not keep sweat from getting into your eyes?
The headbands and beanies are multi-purpose. Yes it does help with sweat, but also keeping your hair out of your eyes if you have longer hair, and most importantly head protection. Masks don't do much to cover your forehead and don't cover the top of your head at all, and getting domed without anything in the way can rock you pretty hard, headbands and beanies do a lot to protect your head from those hits and keep paint out of your hair.
The beanie/headband combo is mind of a stylr remnant from the early days of paintball when we didn't have products like this and would have to wear separate items to give forehead protection/keep our hair back, and something to protect the rest of our head. Now it's just kind of held on as a style choice as ultimately headbands aren't needed anymore with thr advent of things like this and bounce caps, which are basically these caps but with padding to better protect your head, but headbands absolutely aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

A head band on your beanie helps keep mask secure to your head too for sure. Not a necessity but def feels solid
