I love all Handcrafted things and I'm always interested in learning new stuff like knitting, crocheting, sewing and so on. I've always had the fascinated urge to learn how to weave and your video inspired me to finally start it! For sure I'm a beginner and won't buy such a big weaving table, but I will start with a small beginner friendly weaving frame 😅❤
What you made in the video looks gorgeous! You can be so proud of yourself ❤

Thank you! I think that figuring out a new technique is part of the fun! I think of it as solving a puzzle.

    • @withmyhandsdream

Yes. That’s why weavers usually build a long warp and weave several rugs/shawls/whatever in one go. It takes about as much time to build a warp than it takes to weave the shawl.

Beautiful! And I know the process of warping a loom. My girlfriend learned to weave and did it until health issues caused her to stop. We still have the looms, but they're in storage. I wondered how long the process took for you. And I love how the seam is completely invisible, at least from a distance. I'd take up weaving, but if I brought one more craft into our house I think my family would rebel.
As for what kinds of things I'd like to see, I can't choose. I love all your work. Though, I just had a thought. You may have done this already, but I wonder if you knew how to do Nialbinding. I think I spelled that correctly. I've been seeing a lot of people talking about it and Morgan Donner kind of showed how to do it in the video where she, her husband, and their two dogs moved across the U.S., but she didn't really go into detail. Basically here's a bodkin-type needle, here's some yarn, and this is how it's done. She took less than 10 minutes giving very short instructions and the set out to make a hat during the drive. (It took them about 3 days because dogs need walking. Plus the US is big from east to west.) So that's my only suggestion.

Another beautiful creation, your videos are a joy to watch during breakfast before heading to the sewing room. Love the shawl and enjoyed a glimpse of your shopping trip for more wool. What did you find in the antique shop? I wouldn't have been able to pass that by either. Thanks again

Very nice shawl, and i were a bit surprised about its made in two parts, practical I guess due to the width of the loom. And the blouse you are wearing when putting up the loom is a exact fabric as I sewed for myself, though in a short sleeve shirt. 😊. Greetings from Kenneth in Norway.

Kiitos paljon hyvästä videosta!🤗 Tuli kyllä upea shaali.❤ Itsellä myös pienet puut odottaa kasaamista ja olipa ilahduttavaa oppia, että voisin noilla omilla pikkupuillakin tehdä isomman työn tuolla tyylillä.
Minun puissa kun tukin leveys on vain 80cm.
