A lot of people seem to really like them! They are definitely a unique brand of watercolor with some lovely colors! I was not used to the amount of control they allow. Also, I had no idea they made colored pencils as well!
You could have a half pan of Schmincke oxgall or stir a little into your brush water if you wanted them to move more. Or get liquid overall. If you are vegan I believe there are alternatives. It is a nice palette, and I definitely value paints that can stay in place. I love the crazy moving ones too, but that’s why some of us are interested in different types of watercolour. I really liked the softness of some of the blue/pink mixes and they grey they neutralise to. Sky often has these colours. I like that you included the Holbein description, because certain eastern brands really are designed for a specific audience even though anyone can use and enjoy them.
The pale pinks and blues are really lovely! Shell pink and horizon blue are in my normal palette. I think if I didn't read the description of these paints on their site I would have been extremely confused! I was surprised when they stayed in place. Also I just finished swatch some Schmincke watercolors and they were the complete opposite! They were flowing across the wet paper like crazy. I am really enjoying the Schmincke paints! I forgot that you can purchase oxgall in a half pan. I may have to buy one.

What a lovely video! I have no holbein but would so love shell pink, but they are super crazy expensive here, more so than Daniel Smith, not sure if it's like that everywhere. Really love the pastel colours and that marine blue looks beautiful.

I think they are a bit cheaper on Jackson's Art? It's a UK based company so depending on where you like, shipping can take a while. But I do like ordering from Jackson's Art.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! There are actually a few colors that I use regularly! Viridian Hue, Shell Pink, and Horizon blue are all on my main palette and well loved! I want to try using the burnt Sienna and burnt umber more as well in the future. 😊

I am a fan of the holbein line. so nice when mixing and just a wonderful array of colors. Im working on getting the coloring pencils next.

I wish Holbein had more single pigment colors.
