I make my own earth colors. Mainly from my own yard, but while plein air painting I always keep my eyes open for different colors of earth and stone. You can get three tones from one pigment before you ever add water. Then the possibilities are endless. Love it.
David- I enjoyed this demonstration immensely. While watching the colors " come alive: side by side, its easy to notice the difference in each color. I think I will be trying more of Holbein paint in the future. Take Care

Looks good…I might pick up a few, I only have shell pink
