As a huge Billy Joel fan, I tip my hat to this kid. He did an R&B vocal approach and just absolutely knocked it out of the park. Made the hairs of my arm stand up. As a fellow, tenor, singer, this guy is amazing. Best audition I’ve seen in years on American Idol. To me he’s the one to beat!
I keep clicking on here to watch him over and over- he’s truly amazing!
Best audition I’ve seen in the last 5 years. Despite not hearing the future auditions, I say he’s the man to beat.

I can watch him all day, all week. Come on, he should be holding concerts already, and I would watch them all. The singing was good; the piano skills, good; that he could do both, really amazing.

Wow, he's a different person when he sings. When he was talking he seemed unsure and self conscious, but when he sang - boom!! super star. What a mellifluous voice. Been dying to use that word. Tyson is on a great journey and I look forward to watching him from afar.

He has that it factor!❤ Uniquely him and only him. There are only hundreds great singers, so to move and to grab the feelings and attention of those who love music and especially of those are famous pros themselves is not an easy task.
