‘Men in War’ 1957 is a very well made (and directed by Anthony Mann) American GI foot soldier movie, specifically set in the first four months of the Korean War, at the point where the early North Korean gains were being halted and pushed back from the Pusan perimeter thanks to the gritty and heroic determination of reinforced and resupplied US combat units.
@MRJWC2332 - Try increasing the volume on your playback device. If you are watching it on TH-cam, try increasing the volume of your device's internal speakers.
After watching a couple of mediocre films and a few awful ones it was nice to get a good one for a change. B&W made it all a lot more real and I thought the character portrayals were good. Give it ***
The North Koreans were in retreat from the Pusan breakout, and the blind shelling was meant to provide protection for the withdrawal of their forces from the pursuing US Army units. South Korea was being reclaimed at this time - this was covering fire for the retreating NK units to slow up any pursuing US units.
Flick Vault, You HACKED OFF the end just to put up a garish huge red ad for your channel? Destroying the mood and thus cheating we viewers? What the heck is wrong with you? No respect for the material. Why not restore it, be a nice guy, then put your ad in? Respect the movie and us.
I DID NOT KNOW THAT ONE OF THE Korea HELD LAND THAT LOOKED SO MUCH LIKE THE HILLS IN CALIFORNIA. MUST HAV BEEN A TIGHT BUDGET FOR THIS ONE. GOOD TO SEE VICK MORRAL.
Great movie love the young Vic Morrow before his Combat! days.

From the alliance.
We love you❤❤❤❤
The jeep driver with the colonel is Sgt Muldoon of the Green Berets.
I never understood that shelling scene. Why were they shelling the same piece of ground repeatedly and why groups of three ?

Yes, Vic Morrow, Chuck Sauders hadn't been invented yet.
I saw this movie in England about 1958 as a sea print. It was much better then.

Run the sound through the TV
Great movie! Boy they sure mismatched uniforms.
Combat Infantry Badge on dungarees. Mismatch helmet covers with different size webbing, and were those Marine camo covers?
It was because to get away from what they saw and it helped but not much ♥️♥️♥️♥️🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
Military jeeps didn’t have a key ignition.
hmmmm mine had a key
Why are there so many sergeants in this unit? About a third of the squad members are high ranking sergeants? Not realistic at all....
Sound is off. Even at high settings your movie has no sound.
Clean your ears out, I can hear it just fine
Sound is good.
Sound is good now
Sound is low😮
24TH DIVISION, WAS IN IT *
Yes it is the 24ths shoulder patch with taro leaf, but he said he was 34th. Script or actor goof. Maybe 🤔

I tried... but the dialog is so poor, the tempo of the movie is slower than a turtle, the scenery is so static, I gave up.
Can’t hear it
