Great movie " Night of the Generals " I've seen it on here but that was a few years back, another not to well know movie is " Is Paris Burning " , you may find it on here but will have to pay something like 2.99 . Good Luck
Ive seen Bronson in cameos in some super old stuff. I believe he was in "Rebl without a Cause" . A lotta times you would see him playing an un-names Juvenile delinquent, without billing. He paid his dues. Great guy.
he was in The House of Wax and played the deaf mute helper to Vincent Price. In that movie he was listed as Charles Buchinsky in 1953. So this is not his first movie x 5 years
I was at usaf sac leadership school barksdale afb, Louisiana 1985, I learned a week or 2 before 8th air force had their reunion, Charlie was there wanting to talk air planes and ww2 but everyone wanted to talk about the movies. Bronson is one of my favourite actors I want to see all his films, I managed to get "Man With A Camera" on DVD, I'm not sure if theres missing episodes but theres quite a few of them on the discs, I want "Machine Gun Kelly" too, will get it someday. #####Harmonica.......
@Emperor Note the room lights are not on, so the illumination comes from elsewhere. Around 46:18 in the movie they light a candle. Then at 53:26 her brother and her light up a kerosene lamp. So when she and Steve were dancing, they are supposed to be dancing by candle light. Or gaslight. Not by electric light. So, you may criticize that neither candles nor gaslights will not give that much light. But you cannot say they were using electric light as you are wrong.
Look bud near the end of the War loads of GI's married English Italian and German girls coz dames back home were either rich flirty choosy and arrogant. Hello from India
Charles Bronson was probably to most underrated and under-cast actor in Goofyhood. 'Always liked seeing him in ANYTHING he did ... even the crummy, beneath-his-talent movies. He'd have made a heck of a 007-type. Also like Violet Rensing. Wish she'd have made more pix.
@@paulsuprono7225 Too be honest this film kinda sucks. All the action is told via stock footage. Bronson's okay in this but don't expect the badass you usually see. Three of the Death Wish movies are on TH-cam, you should watch those instead.
If you think you've heard that fair-haired sergeant's voice before, I've just checked. His name is Robert Easton, and, yes, he did the voice of Phones in Stingray.
Bronson like Jimmy Stewart both PA Boys. Ditto with Nick Adams (the Rebel) who is buried in Berwick PA at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery. Perro Como still had his PA Barbers license up to his death!
Oh man, what a schlocky story. The title and the star suggested a much better movie than this turned out to be. It was like what a group of high school kids could have made as a class project for a fundraiser for the school drama club.
Hell seemed to take a very long time break loose. Otherwise a decent B movie with an excellent support cast and Bronson doing fine in his first starring role.
The guy who played Jonesie, the one with the awful accent, went on to become one of Hollywood’s best dialect coaches. He even coached Forest Whitaker to do Idi Amin’s accent! Go figure.
Charles Bronson real world combat vet in the Pacific as a bomber tail gunner. To bad soldiers of Iraq and Afghanistan aren’t lead actors in the movies of today.
2:45 He's playing the #s. It was a big illegal racket up until the 1970s before the state lotteries put these peeps out of bidness. I know this first hand from family members who were into it when I was a kid in the late 50s to 1970.
From an email I sent to my friend earlier today. I had never heard of this movie until I discovered it five hours ago while searching You Tube (See Below) I decided to check it out and was immediately engaged. Half hour into it was a scene that to me screamed, "Obviously Martin Scorsese not only had seen it, but was greatly influenced by it". Since I'm not some unappreciative "schmuck on wheels" I immediately sent you this email to cover the vig. .For I do believe fervently believe this: Goodfellas - Morrie gets whacked th-cam.com/video/elrIcMX3yNI/w-d-xo.html was begat by that: When Hell Broke Loose War Drama 1958 Charles Bronson, Violet Rensing & Richard Jaeckel th-cam.com/video/h0z8KxXswqQ/w-d-xo.html
I reckon you will agree within two minute of watchin' the movie from the point I cued it up. I reckon it will be as obvious to you as it was to me:
It reckon it will get you attention within thirty seconds, after you get the same vague impression and realize it is obvious this "hero" also got whacked in the head with an ice pick, just like Morrie. Like me, once your suspicions are satisfied a minute later, when you immediately realize Joe Pesci obviously plays the "Morrie gets whacked" scene in homage to Charles Bronson subsequent reaction. Knowing now what you didn't know then, you will go back and watch the scene again but with a different mindset, like I did. And like me, you will realize it obvious is. It will be obvious to you, because like me, you are no "schmuck on wheels" I included the following comment after first I posted it to begin a thread at "Bill James Onlne:". Prequel to "The Dirty Dozen." I reckon most of us have seen "The Dirty Dozen." It is one of my favorite movies. Today I was in the mood to watch some film noir, something I hadn't seen. I searched You Tube to find something I'd never seen staring any of my favorite actors. The other day I posted of "The Clockwork Yellow" Simpson parody. boards.billjamesonline.com/sh...l=1#post248833 I later showed it to a friend which led to a discussion of Stanley Kubrick films. My personal favorite is "Dr. Strangelove." In rhapsodizing about the brilliance of Peter Sellers, I told my friend that Sellers had previously worked with Kubrick in "Lolita." This in turn led to a discussion of the great James Mason. When I stumbled onto an early James Mason effort, "One Way Street"(1950), I checked it out. It was trite and limited, not one of his best. Although Mason's performance was wooden and his perpetually pained expression screamed "who do I have to phuck to get out of this movie?" his talent was evident under it all. After a half hour I had seen enough, so I checked what else was available. I ran across this one I had never heard of, filmed in 1958. Besides starring the great Charles Bronson, it co-starred one of his fellow actors in "The Dirty Dozen." I had to check it out. Although it was listed as a "War Drama," I had no idea what it was about when I started watching. It was engaging from the get-go. In less than ten minutes it was apparent this was the backstory of my favorite of the dozen, Danny, who is so obsessed by baseball every Rosack image reminds him of the National Pastime. "This is a prequel to the 'Dirty Dozen'" I thought. We have discussed the film on site before, so I thought I'd post it to share.
I can remember the good old days when someone got the shit shot out of them and there was no bullet holes and no blood but eventually hollywierd decided that maybe a little realism would be kind of cool. Fake blood and special effects sure improved the movie going experience.
unusual film for it's time, sort of anti government, if every man thought as this guy there would be no wars, pitty stupid people want to fight, I don't want to fight but we have to because the bloke on the other side wants to.
Sorry,,, it's a leeeetle deeper than just that! The world is a complex place,, we were created out of nothing,, into something,,, which goes contrary to the law that "matter, can NOT be created, or destroyed! Well,,, something very powerful WAS able to create matter, and even more incredibly,,, was able to animate it as well!!!! Magical,,,, I call it!!!! Because it factually IS!!!
It ain't magic if you know what I mean. People have always thought they were privy to inside information but that info came from a source that only played them for fools and still does apparently. Knowledge that gives the person a sense of elevation over others traps them into taking a big bite of rotten fruit. Ego is enticed so very easily. You gotta use a little discernment now and then.

Jaeckel played the same role as in The Battle of the Buldge.
Bronson is one of my favourite actors I want to see all his films, I managed to get "Man With A Camera" on DVD, I'm not sure if theres missing episodes but theres quite a few of them on the discs, I want "Machine Gun Kelly" too, will get it someday. #####Harmonica.......
the town where Steve meets Ilsa is blasted apart, yet in her room when they dance, electric lights are lit.
Some people have all the luck!
Movie magic...
Krauts!!!!!!
This was very good!!
CG Pyper aaa
well said I would love to see him play James Bond
The main actress has the real eyes of a Werewolf.
good
Bronson was also great in the true story in the Movie THE VALACHI PAPERS "
Charles Bronson passed away in 2003, I was in Iraq just came back from a mission. It was a sad day.
berryed with his wife...
Cool movie
with harmonica solos by Leo Diamond !!
Ludwig kinda looks like one of the actual three guys (the tall dark haired one) they shot for wearing GI uniforms during the battle of the buldge.
Introducing Charles Bronson??? Looks like Charles Buchinsky who had been doing films for seven years already.
it was probably his first movie using the name Bronson.
No no no, Charles Buchinsky is a Lithuanian while Charles Bronson is a full blooded American. I kid
Being a Bronson fan . . . and, an Army veteran - this is goin to be fun . . . even watching on cellphone, at 2 a.m. !
@@paulsuprono7225 Too be honest this film kinda sucks. All the action is told via stock footage. Bronson's okay in this but don't expect the badass you usually see. Three of the Death Wish movies are on TH-cam, you should watch those instead.
That was filled
That was filmed in 1958. So that probably is when he started
More of a love story than a war movie but not bad
If you think you've heard that fair-haired sergeant's voice before, I've just checked. His name is Robert Easton, and, yes, he did the voice of Phones in Stingray.
Sir Curtis Seretse
He became very famous as a dialect coach/teacher in Hollywood.
He was on an episode of The Andy Griffith Show.
Good movie
A GREAT ACTOR CHARLES BROS NON
A friend I had back in the 60,s in LA was hassled by Bronson in LA AND ,ICKED HIS ASS...MADE THE PAPERS THEN.
Very good. Smooth integration of newsreel footage into film. Too bad they had to name one GI "Brooklyn."
This character's main pro'blem is; he doesn't know when to get going. Standing round Bragging gets him caught----up!
Charles-Bronson,-was a "Tail-Gunner"-in a B-29-Super-Fortress,-in W.W.2-in the Pacific,-
10:31 There's Ike Godsey! And what a nasty trick he played. I didn't realize it the first time through.
Bronson like Jimmy Stewart both PA Boys.
Ditto with Nick Adams (the Rebel) who is buried in Berwick PA at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery.
Perro Como still had his PA Barbers license up to his death!
At about 2:00 the narrator "demotes "Eik" from Supreme Commander SHAEF to Chief of Staff - a role filled by General Bedell -Smith.
1:14:19 That heavy, water cooled machine gun must've been left over from WWI!!
Nothing screws up what could be a good war action movie like senseless romance
Agreed
Oh man, what a schlocky story. The title and the star suggested a much better movie than this turned out to be. It was like what a group of high school kids could have made as a class project for a fundraiser for the school drama club.
56:13 was the officer in the jeep played by "Ferret Face," in the tv series "M.A.S.H.?"
Good try but neither of them driver nor officer was the *esteemed Ferret Face....*
Hell seemed to take a very long time break loose. Otherwise a decent B movie with an excellent support cast and Bronson doing fine in his first starring role.
Not his first.
This could be because of the sheer number of US soldiers that fought in WW2 while 21st century wars used way less humans.
Ocar the Barbarian that’s true but Hollywood being bias liberals has more to do with it.
@@lance8080 I don't know what being liberal has to do with supporting the troops. I am a democrat and donate to the veterans relief fund every year.
Robert Easton who plays Sgt Jonesie went on to voice "Phones" in the puppet series STINGRAY
First time I saw Charles Bronson was with Elizabeth Montgomery in the TV series Twilight Zone where they were enemies during a war .
Procrastnik
A nice oldie, but listed as '1958', while the intro shows '1957'. A minor error.
Something so phoney two soldiers going into the forest including the girl and only one pistol between them???
2:45 He's playing the #s. It was a big illegal racket up until the 1970s before the state lotteries put these peeps out of bidness. I know this first hand from family members who were into it when I was a kid in the late 50s to 1970.
And here i thought Chuck Norris saved AMERICA!
It was Bronson all along.
Charles Bronson was in movies atleast since the early 50's. How is this, "Introducing, "???? Unless, you got the years twisted.
Check out the shadow people going out the window at 29:23😬
Did Ilsa live?
She spoke at the end so I think she lived. I don't want to think they ended the movie on a downer.
Around 1:13:20 was the German with the gun on the woman James Coburn the one in the German hat.
If I'm going to watch a cheapo B movie it has to feature a monster.
_. 000¥ mm m,ķ I.
Since I'm not some unappreciative "schmuck on wheels" I immediately sent you this email to cover the vig. .For I do believe fervently believe this:
Goodfellas - Morrie gets whacked
th-cam.com/video/elrIcMX3yNI/w-d-xo.html
was begat by that:
When Hell Broke Loose War Drama 1958 Charles Bronson, Violet Rensing & Richard Jaeckel
th-cam.com/video/h0z8KxXswqQ/w-d-xo.html
It will be obvious to you, because like me, you are no "schmuck on wheels"
I included the following comment after first I posted it to begin a thread at "Bill James Onlne:".
Prequel to "The Dirty Dozen."
I reckon most of us have seen "The Dirty Dozen." It is one of my favorite movies.
Today I was in the mood to watch some film noir, something I hadn't seen. I searched You Tube to find something I'd never seen staring any of my favorite actors.
The other day I posted of "The Clockwork Yellow" Simpson parody.

I later showed it to a friend which led to a discussion of Stanley Kubrick films.
4:10 How did she know what Pearl Harbor was? 80% of Americans had no clue what PH was then.
I can remember the good old days when someone got the shit shot out of them and there was no bullet holes and no blood but eventually hollywierd decided that maybe a little realism would be kind of cool. Fake blood and special effects sure improved the movie going experience.
Chet Smith especially the older westerns.
Chet Smith and they never reloaded,or ran out of ammo.
Pure gut wind in july 2024 , except for the base and the bountiful .
unusual film for it's time, sort of anti government, if every man thought as this guy there would be no wars, pitty stupid people want to fight, I don't want to fight but we have to because the bloke on the other side wants to.
!!!!!!! DEFINITELY DIFFERENT & GUESS WAS EXPECTING MORE >> BUT >> IT WAS ALRIGHT !!!!!!!!!!! >>> !?!?!? HEY TH-cam >> WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO SHOW MORE OF THE "COMBAT" TV SERIES SHOWS OF 1962 & 65 & 66 & 67 >> HAVE WATCHED THE MAJORITY OF THE YEARS !!!!!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY HAVING THE FULL SHOW EPISODES IN COLOR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The German underground air force strikes again. Good grief.
But did Elsa live? That's my question
Who's the good ole boy with Chuckie B?
What became of that German girl?
That's to say, she was dead or alive?
Violet Rensing another true catholic married for 71 years!
Utube Man and a camera......with Bronson..
Definitely not going to Bronson's best movies
You quite school . . . in 4th grade ? Gotta improve, on your english grammar. Remember, everyone sees you on digital . . .both your good and bad traits are viewed, for all to see !
