I love the analogy of a mother telling her children to clean up before going inside the house, that is exactly what Our Blessed Mother wants us to do! Clean ourselves up so we can see her Son! That is so motherly and loving! We clean ourselves through repentance and Confession. Putting it the way you did though, shows Mary to be so caring and giving us such wonderful counsel. Mother of Good Counsel, pray for us!!!
I’m a living testament of the extreme change. I don’t know who I was. I do recall I did not want to be the way I was; however, I am grateful for the omenous bizarre life I had to live except the pain I caused a few people. She came for me and opened the way. I realized, recently, she was always with me as I remember her as a child but I was never taught about her. Tyranny in cuba and the way priests sold their souls did something to my parents, especially my mama. I’m a miracle shaped by her. My conversion came 2017 at 43.3 years old and everything was fast in perfect timing. I was officially consecrated to her Dec 8, 2020 the feast day of her immaculate conception. Look back and I am still amazed and in wonder by what she has done

The traveling Virgin Mother, our Lady of Fatima was present. I knew very little of him then, but that is when I began to read his messages. They make more sense to me now. Thank you Robert. My husband and I saw father Gobbi in the mid 1980’s when he celebrated a mass in Brisbane. After mass outside the church in the crowd we were eager to ask him for a blessing for our engagement but before we had a chance he saw us and went straight to us and marked our foreheads with the sign of the cross. It was beautiful and we felt our lady guided his hand towards us. It was all done without a sound.

The ordinary way to make confession is to a priest in person. Our Lord uses this to form us in humility, it’s an exercise of humility which is important for spiritual life. In extraordinary circumstances with no possibility of a priest you make a genuine act of repentance
Someone I know who worked as a mountain rescue paramedic heard many deathbed confessions under dire circumstances. It has been mentioned here before that one of the things we should all memorize now is The Act of Contrition Prayer. Once having heard these confessions one is bound by the Sacrament of Penance to never reveal what has been confessed, even as a layperson.
