First year of the milled star hubs. First year of the new brake pedal assembly, Lockheed Master cylinder, chrome cover and floorboard mounting bracket. M74 and air cleaner cover I think. Great job! Keep em coming!
I wish I still had my 1958 and 1959 Duo Glides. Sometime in life, you have to make sacrifices. That's one very clean bike! Great restoration! Ride safe. -- W
This bike ie 4 ever engraved in my memory, it was the first HD what I had ever seen ,around 69 or 70 ,at that time it was the only modern HD in the whole country of Poland ,the others were the 2Ww 45 Wla so I had a few ,enjoy your ride ,regard Ziggy Alberta 😊
I had a stock 1957 Panhead last year rigid she was black with a pepper red panel. I now own a 1999 Heritage Springer. Last year evolution bulletproof motor.
A lot of good information on this. I have a 57 pan and just did a study on the steering damper because they had a problem with it starting in 1958 with a duo glide and they had to completely loosen them and then stop putting them on there altogether. Bad wobble at higher speeds
the seat rail should go through the holes of the skirting of the seat....should not take so many kicks to start... gas on, choke on full, 2 prime kicks with ignition off, open throttle or 3 prime kicks then ignition on turn choke off plus 1 click or 2clicks every bike has a sweet spot..... you want the carb to flood like you said it does ...if gas doesnt stop flowing you need to take carb off and reset the float (1/4 inch to 5/16 inch from top of bowl) ....thottle at about 1/4 to a 1/2 ...do with circuit breaker retarded the whole way...any color paint was available that was availeable prior years besides 1945 when only grey was offered due to war effort......nice bike but that windshield and mirrors throw it off ...a nice trick to make sure the air /fuel mixture i sset is crank the throttle and release.,...... it shoudl go right back to steady idle....enjoy the ride!
Wow Dan! I hope when I grow up I can know as much as you do about these bikes! Can’t wait to see your videos! Be sure to tag us in them! I will be sure to comment! 😁
Are you guys available to installed a new wiring harness on Rosie my 1956 FLH? My son lives in Tumwater so it would also give me an excuse to see him. Really nice work on the '58.
Hey there Arthur, thanks for watching! As much as I would love to be available for projects like that, I just don’t have room at the moment. If you need a suggestion on a great shop in the area, I would recommend Northwest Custom Cycle in snoqualmie. Michael is a dear friend and does fantastic work. 🤙🏻
Real life with a Pan, great video, thanks from the UK

My first Harley was a 96 Heritage Springer, they did a great job with those bikes! I only ride antiques now though 🍻 Thanks for watching! -Eric

Duo-Glide
Correct. A typo
Perfect !!!! All Harleys are great. I've owned 5 over the years. I'm finishing up on a 2020 Electra glide standard.. What is a Sportster ?

I'm not a HD fan by any means, but that is a really beautiful bike. ❤ BTW it was ironic you shouted "victory " when she fired up. 😊
Thanks for watching and thanks for the love! ❤
Everything but that hideous seat
Duo-Glide added about 50 lbs to the previous rigid frame models. 😢
MAYBE TRY THROWING a SOFA ON this FRAME
If you worked on it for a year why is it so dirty?
We like our hogs like our women 😝
@SlickHeadCustomCycles
nice bike, hard to start, its a harley
40 degrees! 😅
