- Samidha Joglekar, born and brought up in Canada, sings "Jhaale Yuvati Manaa" at the "Swar-Gandha" Music Concert held in Toronto on March 22, 2008. Mr. Yashodhan Navathe from Toronto is on Tabla, Mr. Raya Bidaye from Toronto is on Harmonium, Mr. Sanjay Deshpande of London, Ontario is on Violin. Other singers were Ravi Datar (next to Samidha), Narendra Datar (Ravi's father), Mrs. Ashwini Deodhar, Mr. Nandu Atre, Anuja Panditrao. Mr. Kishore Kulkarni(next to Mr. Yashodhan Navathe) also played Tabla and Mr. Amod Kelkar was the MC.

the great thing about Samidha's singing is that she seems to know her limitations and stayed within it. she seems to have a calm, sober personality which reflects through singing and gives her that edge necessary for singing this song. hats off to her considering her background and extra efforts that she must have taken to maket this effort as this doesn't come naturally to her. amazing !!!

I am stunned, to say the least.It's unbelievable this girl born in Canada not only speaks marathi but sings such a difficult natya-pad with full beauty and mastery over it. We here in Mumbai find our own marathi people don't allow our children to speak marathi at home, not to speak of singing. We are ashamed of doing so or being a marathi. When we find such new generation kids spread all over the world perform the way Samidha didt. LONG LIVE BETA !! and THANQ TH-cam.

this was truly an amazing performance. i cannot believe that samidha ji is born and brought up in canada. her rendition is faultless. she must do a lot of riyaaz. i certainly know bharat balvalli. he is not a discple of the mangeshkars. he is a disciple of pandit yeashwant ji. he is truly amazing. we cannot compare lata didi or asha tai or any other mangeshkar siblings to any one. but samidha ji is truly amazing. please post more videos.

It is from a marathi stage play. I think Master Dinanath Mangeshkar (Lata's father) made this very popular, probably in 1940's. Asha Bhosle has recreated some of his songs in the 1950s. Check out related videos here. This rendition is excellent.

+Madhukar Apte One can make out her Marathi Ucchran clearly which is pleasing to the ear, like that of Ashabai. In a natyageet it is very important. I am commenting this after listening to the rendition of Uvati Mana by Kaivalyakumar Gurav and Bharat Balavalli.
