As a French person I can sadly confirm that there's barely any accessibility in here, no matter your disability and needs. It's a constant struggle wherever you are, from private to public places up to the streets of a big and supposedly modern city. What you see in Paris is the "best" you get...and it sucks.
And worst thing is it's most certainly only going to get worse...
I hope you could still enjoy your trip there ❤ love your content and the constant joy and awareness you bring ✨

Hopefully they'll add more. It sounds like they're just starting to implement accessibility for blind visitors, so they might still be learning the "how" of making stuff accessible for us. Great start, though.

This is amazing! Even for people who don’t have 100% blindness, but can see shapes and colors and light, this is a way to actually see what you’re looking at, without it just being fuzzy colors and light

Would be really nice if the Louvre put more effort into their accessibility aids. The 2DS? Is a surprising device to see. Really should not cost money to get access to.

The Louvre uses the 3DS because of a deal with Nintendo years ago. Sadly in France this pittance of accessibility is considered good.

@@Ignacio-hv5ylThat's a really garbage attitude to have. Why don't blind people deserve to experience everything that you do, especially if it's something they paid for. That's like saying "sure, the braille on this sign might be totally wrong and incomplete and not helpful at all, but you should just be grateful they put any braille there at all and stop complaining". It seems extra to you, but if you were blind, I bet you'd feel differently.

It’s so interesting because in the US they can’t charge for accessibility items. They can hold your ID while you have the Item. Which has only recently ever been problematic for me now that some movie theatres serve alcohol. I go to order a drink, they need to check my ID and the customer service desk has it. 😂

@@ANT-jm4qx I wouldn’t know where to start/don’t really want to go through the process of figuring out how to get a fake ID. And expired IDs are clipped.
Several years ago I was a manager at an AMC theatre. The policy rolled out when I was leaving, it had to be a valid ID as it’s meant to be a deterrent to stealing them. Which became a common issue at the theatres in bigger cities quite quickly.
As for the Bar staff. They are only going to take a valid ID in my state and a fake one is illegal.
