    Does not work unless you drill the pin out too. I tried drilling it out but you can’t push the pin in because it locked on the core without the control key.

      Only on the oldest cores can you attept to play this game. without a control key the core holds the pin in place.

      @@conceptchannel1112thats good to hear i want to get an lfic lock because its versatile but if the pin can be pushed without the key that’s a little bit too funky not sure i like that. I imagine maybe some cheap and old ones have a control pin that can be pushed without a key but other than that i hope not

    That doesn’t really work when I drilled it I couldn’t push that pin. Is that core that you have without any pins in it please level with me because that pin does not push backwards even if you have one out and you’re just playing around with it you can’t get that to push backwards unless you put in a control key.

      @@russej02 so you mean to tell me if you don’t use a key and you try to push that pin back that holds the FSIC in the housing that lug will push back even with your finger when it’s out of the housing because none of mine do that. The Everest has a fingerprint underneath the cylinder that does not allow it to turn that’s a given, but just the C key way FSIC the pin does not retract unless you put in a control key that is cut to some kind of pin in there six pin chambers if there are no pins in the chambers, the six chambers and you there are no pins in the six chambers and it’s not an Everest. The pin will retract the lug pin that is so what I’m saying is under normal conditions. There will be pins in the pin stacks either one or six in the six chambers, but if there are no pins in the six chambers that idea will work that’s why I’m asking you to level with me. Does the core turn in the housing without a key in it meaning there are no pins bottom pins or top pins or springs in that LFIC that you were showing in your video I know that videos old, but maybe you can still test that cylinder if you have it laying around I’m just not seeing how it works, and I’ve tried it every way you can if the FSIC has pins in the chambers bottom pins, top pins and springs

    • @doorandlocktips
      @doorandlocktips หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ s123 doesn’t work c123 or sc doesn’t work all in FSIC so your core and housing had no pins in it. It couldn’t have the pins keep the cylinder from turning clockwise in the SC and the pins and the bottom finger pan in the S123/C123 keep the cylinder from turning clockwise. My cylinders have pins in them and I remove the pins on the SC and your thing works so you must’ve not had any pins in the plug or in the house of the FSIC.

  • @tomski1111
    @tomski1111 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If this is a genuine method for removing the core the reverse should also be true. There’s normally a slight give to the control pin, however you cannot install a core without the control key. You could clearly see in a minute 4:11 that the pin is permanently depressed.

      If it’s lfic you have to lift the pin all the way in the back of the lock after you pick it to release it. My email is in the description drop me an email if you want

      You will need to drill for the pin, these days,, there is hard plate above the plug, drill the plug at an angle, using cobalt bits and a core, side by side , as reference material.

      @@russej02 well the housing that this 7 pin is in looks exactly like this one. It has the factory drilled hole and tapered head. But I believe it is sfic, a best core would fit i think. I haven't had any luck finding a listing for these housings, but i havent looked very hard either.

      @@ThaFritz if it’s seven pin falcon it’s sfic. Just search sfic housing. The only way you’re getting that core out is getting a control key picking to control or destroying the housing.

    • @russej02
      @russej02  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really no reason on this one since I can’t make a key. Have done jobs though with a lot of these on Schlage keyway prior to lishis. Get one out the door and get the cylinder out take it apart make a control key and easily remove the rest to rekey them. Only had to replace one housing. When a lot of them are push bars getting out a store front door and making a control key saves a ton of time not
      Having to remove push bars to get them out and replace them all

    • @russej02
      @russej02  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it’s still in the door you would have to pick it open to take it out or drill one to open the door then take another one from another door to make a key

      @@russej02 In the beginning of his video, he said he had neither, it seems unlikely vital components would be missing, thereby allowing this workaround to be the rule, not the exception, look at the two cylinders in the end of the video, see something fishy ?

      @@russej02 The core he has change key and control key for, the locking pin has returned to it's locked/extended position.
      the one he pushed out with a pick, the locking pin, stays down as if it did not have the three needed parts, mentioned above.
      which is why this trick worked for that core.

    • @russej02
      @russej02  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh lol. I hit with the the drill. No biggie. Easy to fix or just replace the core. This is only useful if you have multiple cylinders to rekey or open and you don’t have a key you pick one if you need to and take the cylinder and do this and then you can take it apart and make a key or control for the rest of them. Trust me it works. I do this on a fairly regular basis. A lot building use those cylinders around where I work.
