- In her first on-camera interview since the Tanjong Pagar car crash last year, Ms Raybe Oh, who was badly burnt in the incident, says she hopes her story can inspire others to be strong. She tells CNA about her recovery and what she is looking forward to, ahead of a coroner’s inquiry into the deaths of the five victims in the crash. Raybe, please DO NOT call this incident "an accident" - it is very irresponsible to call it as such when it was the result of a deliberate rash act.
An "accident" implies lack of intention; speeding deliberate just to see how fast your car can go, is not unintentional nor an "accident".
There is no such thing as "Oops I accidentally gassed the pedal and went over 100km/hr!"
It is still an accident because it was not intended.
There have been cases where people have pressed on the wrong pedal with catastrophic results. Wishing her well, success in life.
Was she on the pedals? Its her bf or her bf friends that were on the pedals. She didn’t cause any accident.
She ran into fire to try and save them. But yeah she lost them and got burned.
Its funny that people keep telling her she cause the accident. If she cause it she wouldn’t survive at all and even if she did she would end up in jail ban for driving and get fine.

What inspirations? To inspire more senseless acts or involvement in one? Its hardly a tale of true love or bravery. Isnt she part of the wee hours street racing/drifting. They could have gotten other drivers or pedestrians kill that night. It simply public nuisance and endangerment of others. A painful lesson.

As for her, she willingly took on the risk of becoming a roast chicken when she got into the car with Jonathan Long (whom she apparently loved very much, but not enough to prevent him from engaging in such socially irresponsible and reckless acts). Volenti non fit injuria. I have no sympathy for her condition at all.
She is not direct involved in Speeding. Those 5 died in the crash and she paid the highest price despite not involved.
i think it’s quite impossible to stop that night from happening. Even if she can stop that night, she can’t stop them from speeding in other nights.
