One thing that I really love about Lowko's casts is that he never assumes his viewers are pros at the game and always includes explanations of little details that newcomers may not know yet
He probably understands that a lot of his viewers are new players or non players who just enjoy watching
This is exactly why I watch him

I remember Maru managed to stay alive for 20 minutes with less than 1000 minerals while the zerg has more than 2000 minerals by 8 mn or sth. It was hell.
@@SanityDrop not really tho zerg is a reactive race and terran is an aggressive race.
Really missing the minerals/gas per second. The worker amount tells so much less about eco situation than actual income per second.
Let's say zerg has 90 workers and 2 mining bases you'll think he's in a good spot even though his income is barely 1.2k/min while terran with 30 scvs and 3 mining bases and mules looks bad by worker count but his income is near 2.5k/min

Totally. The other layout had the direct comparison, plus it often showed APM as well. Those up/down arrows on this layout are just not as meaningful.

If both players in midd or late game lose all workers. Zerg can make them all again in 15 sec. while terran not, thats one of some reasons. Like prottos with boost.
@@draackon You explaining why mules exist but we speak about mineral income they give which can't be seen with this UI but with old you can see when mules landed

This is exactly how I envision fighting the Zerg: constant, gigantic, relentless waves of claws, fangs, exploding acid balls of horror coming at you nonstop from all angles and youre way outnumbered all the time, everybody dying in most horrific ways all around you. Soldiers daying by the hundreds, by the thousands in seconds.

I have changed My mind, I prefer the info of the priveus overlay.
Yeah I prefer the WCS whatever HUD because it shows the Minerals/min and Gas/min.. It gives me an idea on who's behind or ahead.. Whether it would be they are being pressured or their enemy has more bases etc.. APM is shown on the previous one too..

The new one needs a few changes such as a number in blue or red who tells you who's mining more minerals and gas, instead of the ticks

Sometimes i wish they renamed the Ghost to something like Marksman, so Terrans could go MMMM.
Also, i immagine creep smells like rotting kelp at the shore after a few days in the sun. Has somewhat the same look as well

Hey you can still got for MMMM: Marine, Marauder, Medivac, Mine. Maru even did that throughout the series!
My go-to build is the Marine/Marauder/Medivac/Mine/Missile Turret/Mediocre Macro (MMMMMMM)
The mengsk voice line for Zerg is something like “ you have to place that on creep. I don’t care how it smells” so it probably doesn’t smell that good
I love your ability to watch a replay, then watch it again and commentate on it as though it's totally new to you. That and your excitement during these matches are signs of a top tier commentator.

Personally, I choose to believe that creep smells like cherries. Or maybe plums. Also Banelings are lemon-lime flavoured and chocolate covered Zerglings are delicious.

Creep is a soft suede on the touch and smells minty like all the zergs.
13:00 sends banelings to trade but also check for widow mines then he goes in for the surround when it's all clear. Neat move.
Me in diamond: right-click and then a-move. Such skill!
Give Ultras the aberration ability from coop, they should be able to walk over lings, banes, marines, and zealots. Also keep their attack a melee but have like 1 or 2 range. Would be a way less derpy unit with these changes

@@vir042 Zerg is too strong, but ultras are shit. This buff would be good for ultras, making them usable, but Zerg needs a production nerf, like a larvae cap.

I've actually already seen this match on another channel. But it's still worth watching just because of Lowko's super in-depth commentary. I love it.
New UI is clean and all, but I really miss the old overlay with this once in a blue moon matchup

Well with creep being BioMass, and from what I've seen most biomass is meaty beings, I doubt Xreep would smell like decaying leaves. More like decaying flesh, miles and miles of decaying flesh.

If creep is basically a field of intestines, I imagine it as if you put meat in the compost, a sorta slightly decomposing meat, but earthy.
It's not decaying when it's spreading.
Probably only smells like death when it's being cleared. Probably smells like nothing when it's alive. As it probably doesn't have pores.

It's probably tricky, as many things. It works great against a regular run-by, but in turn it can just be cleaned up regularly and those costs will start adding up. Additionally it's a lot of supply that, 90% of the time, isn't where it's sorely needed. And finally, particularly good players can negate it with cheeky moves as we saw.
I haven't played Starcraft 2 for at least 3 years. As much as much as I love it it just stresses me out too much. Still come to your channel occasionally lowko for a splurge. Your enthusiasm for it is infectious. Great content and commentary.

First vid with the new UI and I like it a lot the larger icons make it more engaging to watch because you can follow the action and commentary with a seamless transition. allowing for an informative but not intrusive visual. good choice hope you keep using this ui

man that spore crawler timing on the first match... it reminds me of one of the last matches of jaedong vs flash where he defends a rush with EXACTLY the right number of drones pulled. shit was ridiculous.
Starcraft's manual says creep is acidic. So I think it either smells sour or like a swamp.
If Serral continues to play like that, the zerg will be nerfed into having 1 hp and 1 damage.
i feel its more balanced (on these guys lvl of gameplay) but less fun.. i miss more spellcasters in TvZ.. also im glad to see more muta plays but sad that ghosts mass produced like that, arent they supposed to be specialists working solo missions or something...

@@ghostgurl17 i honestly think sometimes that starcraft may have to one day make like 2 versions because balancing a game for normal people and professionals in impossible. Like units that have high ceiling caps for skill and massive amounts of potential value are going to be really hard to balance so that a normal player can use them but a pro can't be o with them.

@@MrZiva82 yeah i guess if we say that zerg will have a 60%-40% advantage on economy on every map, having something so efficient as infestors will be broken at the late game. so they solve it by having ghosts even more efficient but then the ghost are just destroying every zerg late game units now which is the same when winfestors are prevalent. im thinking maybe ghost should do 70%-80% snipe damage against air units since they already have thors to counter broods.

I can tell you play the game because your casting is so accurate and seems like second nature. That kind of understanding can only come from so many hours fully immersed.

That second game after the 16 minute mark was sooo frustrating to watch. It was like those characters in the movies who already get beaten and you know there is no way for them to win, but not giving up until they finally get killed. As soon as i saw that 70% of the map was zerg infested, there is simply no point of keeping the fight, especially when you play against the top zerg player.
I STOPPED PLAYING WHEN I GOT MY ACTUAL CAREER JOB, WHICH IS THE SAME TIME HUSKY STOPPED MAKING VIDEOS AS WELL. I JUST SUBED LIKE 3 DAYS AGO. THIS IS ONE OF THE FUNNIER VIDEOS. GOOD JOB.
