You, are a gem! I've been crocheting for 20 years, but this is my first go at an amigurumi person, and the pattern was absolutely no help on how to "join the legs".
Exactly what I needed for my doll, thanks! The author of "My Fabulous Crochet Doll" needs to see the chaos she creates by having NO photos & writing "ch4 & continue around"... HUH?!? SCUSE ME, MADAM?? I showed 3 ppl & got 3 different guesses on exactly how to execute it.

I'm making the queen Elizabeth doll for my grandmother in-law. I have the famous women in history crochet book but I've only done a doll once and have no idea why I couldn't figure it out this time. Been stuck on blankets for family Christmas gifts so my amigurumi skills feel dull right now. 😬

I use a running stitch marker like that, too. I don't think that's as common.
