    Interesting concept. Although with my camping buddies who get to drinking and then up multiple times through the night to go to the bathroom, I would find it a bit tough to get good nights sleep using a triple setup like that.

    I feel lcuky when I find two trees in a good position to hang a hammock, I'd hate to be looking for three.

      yeah it doesnt always work. we carry a second ground tent. we did a 7000 mile trip across mid west and we had it up on about half the campsites. it works when you get to pick your campsite. not that hard; need 3 thick trees outside the tent space. they dont have to be in a perfect triangle form.. you just move the tent closer or further until they point at the trees right. its ok if one strap is 3ft and another is 20ft. they tighten up well. when you do get it up; you get a lot of compliments and interest from your campsite neighbors. btw, we bought a stingray 3 person for $350 from groupon. worth it!

      @@georgebordovsky Can you please send me the link to the stingray? I can't find it. Thanks in advance! Please send the link as quick as possible because I want to go camping with my family pretty soon and I don't want to buy it from the tentsile site because there costs 778$!

    What I want to know is how to set up the tent higher, like 3 or 4 meters high but all videos seem to show how to set it up almost at ground level

    • @changren936
      @changren936 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could probably just climb the tree and set it up as usual. I think they don't show it though because it is more difficult and you will only see it in photos.

    • @nemanjanemanjaa4551
      @nemanjanemanjaa4551 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is how I would do it: put one rope from one tree to the other then climb it and put another rope just above it 1,5-2m above the first rope then while standing on lower rope hold onto the higher rope with your hands, if you want you can put another third rope to go even higher if you do it would be good idea to have some sort of safety in case you fall, then while on ropes, you can put the tent, you would probably need also two more ropes to connect to third tree but unless you are hanging from tree on a rope or having a ladder (which you probably don't want to have to carry on a trip) this seems like your only option

    Only thing that bothers me is that the tent pools are going through the fabric connected to net and once you put the flysheet on top they make contact and in rainy conditions this will be absorbing moisture and if its really pouring down it could cause a lots of issues. I wish that the tent pools were about a foot outside of net tent on loops for minimal fabric touching once you place flysheet over the top and for better air flow. Is there a model that has this option?

    How easy is it to set up a really high trillium in the trees? That would be a dream come true. If I could manage that with a friend in the park

  • @lilheatg1
    @lilheatg1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Instead of looking for a stick, you should invent a tripod that can be placed in the middle that can support the weight. I think this is great and you guys have tons of room to improve.

    I love the concept, but think that it might be a challenge to find three trees properly distanced and positioned from each other.
    I still want these though

    • @chrisw5742
      @chrisw5742 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They don't have to be perfectly distanced.

    • @zedex1226
      @zedex1226 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The distance is inherently flexible via the ratchet.
      My most common is two trees and the front bumper parked and reversed into place wherever it needs to be.

    • @SuperArmydog
      @SuperArmydog 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair question! I haven't, but I am intrigued enough to purchase one in the near future. I'm just accustomed to using tents on the ground with a lot of headroom to walk around in. These seem more for sitting and sleeping in.

    • @TentsileLtd
      @TentsileLtd  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your assumption would be correct. Sitting and lying ( unless your under 7 years old! ). But with the tent set up a little higher, you can the full height of a tent downstairs with sleep "bunk" upstairs!

    • @SuperArmydog
      @SuperArmydog 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I like that idea very much. I'll keep gear below in a ground tent and lounge and sleep in the trees in the "penthouse"!! Thanks

    Those tents are so expensive! I got my double nest hammock for $30 at Walmart. Fantastic hammock by the way. Made out of sail cloth so it doesn't stretch like the parachute material does. Any way, that tent system looks like WAAAY too much trouble to me. And way too much weight. Those ratchet straps are really heavy when you're back packing. No way! Also way too much trouble finding three trees anywhere near your trail. I will stick to my double nest hammock thank you very much.

    • @bena3341
