- Divertical is the world's joint tallest water coaster. Designed by Intamin it features a 197ft tall structure, a 45 degree drop of 164ft (50 metres) and has an unusual vertical lift system. The coaster opened in 2012 and has a length of 2297ft. Video features HD POV with the main on-ride action filmed in the (damp) front row.

Wow the force of that drop was so fierce that you ended up on the 1st row , cool
+252Scooby LOL - to explain that, I tried to get front row but ended up allocated towards the back...got soaked...dried off the glasses and went around for another turn, but hadn't realised the glasses had fogged due to their previous soaking...but at least the fogged lens cleared itself with the force of the air from the first drop, so was able to use the front seat POV from that point onwards. The foggy bit from the first drop will be included in my second video of this ride including off-ride footage.

I have been there. trust me, It may seem scary when you're on it, but when you're off...YOU JUST WANT TO GO ON IT AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!!!
I loved it - just a shame the ride is very unreliable and is closed a lot
I went to the one at Energyland and here and Energys is much better yes they're similar but Energys is faster
loved this ride especially on the scorching hot day Lee Bennet and I took a spin ! :-)

***** I knew it! Exactly the same scenario I had when I went in 2012! It even closed down while we were in line for it for 20 mins! And when I went 2 years ago it was closed from early August til the end of the season! This ride has a terrible reputation in Italy. Tbh, I wouldn't mind if they decided to tear it down any time soon. Too much downtime.

***** I know. I liked it, but if they're not gonna do something to fix its maintenance flaws, it's gonna end up like Giraffica (ex. Pilgrim's Plunge).

Same coaster, The manufacturer created this, saw that it was beautiful and created that of energyland
High maintenance and relatively low capacity is never a good combination.

a cool idea would be to make after the first ascend the car drop like on free fall tower then after the second ascend the car runs on the track

At this rate, I’m surprised they didn’t call it a water slide, and the tallest one. The amusement industry is getting so crazy. Such as a super loop being a coaster...
A super loop (by that I assume you mean a Larson Loop) is not and has never been a coaster despite Six Flags keeping on saying their ones are coasters! This ride clearly has a large tracked element so it's far more than just a water slide :-)

+davidjellis Yes, they closed it because during ride Divertical stopped...I went to Mirabilandia last year and we couldn't ride it.(Sorry for my English, I'm Italian)
Your English is very good. Rides break down all the time...it is not unusual for a ride to stop, then they fix it and it opens up again. I understand Divertical breaks down a lot, but they have not closed the ride permanently, and I am sure the day after your visit it was working again.

But it's not normal to see a ride closing for LITERALLY half a season. Two years ago it was closed for at least two months.
+Leonardo Bruzzone Agreed...I must admit I don't visit Italy for roller coasters very often so I wasn't aware the ride was closed for THAT much! It's certainly not good, and relieved I was able to ride it!

Okay thank you. There was one actually, I recently found out. A guy lost his hat on the Kanun (sorry, I can't remember the spelling of it), and ignoring all signs, like a true dummy, if you ask me, he climbed up a 2 meter fence to get the hat. He got hit by a girls leg (that was on the ride), killing him and breaking the girls leg.
Though, tbh I think he should have asked a manager or something before plumming in to his death.
It's always best to seek permission before being an idiot! Despite all the warning signs some people just can't help being stupid!
I tried being stuck up in there with my brother, cousin and two foreigner but it was a great experience though.

No problems - have you ridden Kingda Ka? It's very good, although I prefer Top Thrill Dragster, only a bit shorter but much smoother ride experience :-)

Wondered where that ride went. This is from Holiday World no ? In sane ride. Boring really. But that ride up. Bit odd.

It's not the same ride...although very similar. I believe Pilgrim's Plunge was scrapped.
davidjellis It was. Because it didn't work well. I always thought it was dangerous. The lift seemed to be. LoL.
