Coldplay will forever be engraved in my memories. When I was younger, my mum would drive me and my younger brother to the bus stop for school every morning, and we would listen to coldplay every single day. it was the best 5-6 minutes of my day. We went to two concerts of theirs, and each one was magical. they are so god damn inspiring. Thank you coldplay for providing us with music for our minds, our souls and our hearts. you are the true heroes of our time, god knows how many lives you have saved with your music!

I don't know about any studies my dudes, but I can tell you that once I spent a good couple of hours doing absolutely nothing but lie on the grass in my backyard with headphones on listening to this on repeat, feeling the sun on my skin as it filtered through the tree leaves. 10/10 would recommend.

It's like I experience this massive river of happiness and nostalgia rush through me and I just feel like I am home. This is one of the most impressive animated pieces I've ever seen. The ending shots with the butterflies are why - generally in 2-D animation, to create a lot of movement you create a lot of "layers" and have maybe a small handful of objects on each layer. Then you can move the layers individually. This eliminates a lot of room for error because you can trace layers individually and get rid of layers that don't quite look right. With chalk drawing, there are no layers - everything is drawn and colored on a "master" canvas (in this case, the ground). But you can still focus on any single butterfly and follow its path. That means that the motion for every butterfly had to be taken into account at the exact same time before each frame was completed. And there's well over a hundred butterflies! Even if the creators "cheated" and used butterfly stencils, and even if t hey digitally rendered it in a computer then projected that on the ground as a guideline to create the physical drawings, it's still a tedious process that would take days to finish. I don't know if I've ever seen anything like it that wasn't completely added in post!

So basically I think we can agree that no matter how big Coldplay already is/was, they are still underrated as a whole.

If you are here because of anxiety attacks, close your eyes and rub your temples slowly with one finger on each side. Trust me, it works. Just imagine your happy place. I have struggled with anxiety attacks and neurological issues from a very young age and my only regret is not finding this song sooner. I had listened to other coldplay songs like "Clocks" and "Paradise", but they weren't remotely as effective as this one is. Enjoy the song, and know that you're not alone! Whoever you are struggling with anxiety or whatever it is, I feel you and I care! I know how much of a burden anxiety can be but you have a friend here. Listening to this is like stepping into a time machine. It doesn’t always happen, but every now and then, I become reminiscent about my youth and the people I have interacted with, some people I no longer speak with, memories of crazy adventures and activities but mostly moments of isolation and how this song (among many other Coldplay songs) kept me warm and safe.

There's something about Chris's voice that just gives me chills. Believe me, people, I love Frank. Channel Orange and Nostalgia ULTRA are both wonderful works of art, but man do I have a huge emotional connection to this original. Frank's voice is beautiful, but these lyrics are just perfect when you describe that one person you simply can't live without. For me, that's my dad, and what I love is that I can perfectly apply these lyrics to how much I love my dad.

This was the song which played on my phone while I was on a flight from Delhi to Jammu ( in India) for my college convocation. Over the snow clad mountains I could see my college campus for one last time. I'm not one at all to comment on songs but this one makes me feel so beautiful that it's something I don't really know how to explain. It's like I experience this massive river of happiness and nostalgia rush through me and I just feel like I am home. It dissolves my anxiety but at the same time makes me want to burst into tears haha. If anyone reads this and has the opportunity where they live close to water or the sea, or on a hill, wake up early one morning and go to one of these places and play this song as you watch the sunrise. Or on the other hand, it is just as beautiful watching the sunset. This song obliterates any pain and turns those experiences into contentment.

This is one of the most impressive animated pieces I've ever seen. The ending shots with the butterflies are why - generally in 2-D animation, to create a lot of movement you create a lot of "layers" and have maybe a small handful of objects on each layer. Then you can move the layers individually. This eliminates a lot of room for error because you can trace layers individually and get rid of layers that don't quite look right.
With chalk drawing, there are no layers - everything is drawn and colored on a "master" canvas (in this case, the ground). But you can still focus on any single butterfly and follow its path. That means that the motion for every butterfly had to be taken into account at the exact same time before each frame was completed. And there's well over a hundred butterflies!
Even if the creators "cheated" and used butterfly stencils, and even if t hey digitally rendered it in a computer then projected that on the ground as a guideline to create the physical drawings, it's still a tedious process that would take days to finish. I don't know if I've ever seen anything like it that wasn't completely added in post!
