Discs are superior in the wet. But how many of us (amateurs) would take our pride and joy in the rain? Mine only worth 2.5k and I don't. So a light fun rim bike is the way for most of us, surely?
And this (or something very similar) is what we should be buying.

Thing with rim vs disc is disc brake setup adds appox. 350g to 400g depending on top range or mid range grpset. And let's say u make frame of disc lighter by 400g, you can use same frame to make rim brakes version lighter.

EE brakes and 30$ 300+g handlebar. I am not saying carbon everything, I prefer myself alloy handlebars, but these are hefty. Even Giant contact sl which come stock on mid level bikes are sub 250g. :) Anyway bike looks amazing. So it'll be 6.8 or over when you replace the tubular wheels with clincher wheels. And when you had a powermeter and the computer it'll be at the 6.9/7kg mark....Then what's the point of the rim brakes if it's as heavy as lets say a Factor Ostro or an Émonda SLR-9 ???
Cool bike nontheless but I wouldn't buy it (even if money was out of the question and I could buy all the stuff mention above to "upgrade" it further).
