Hey Juva I hope that you’re doing well I’d like to ask you I have watched a Video for you , you have said you should write 300 words in the integrated essay and 400 words in the independent essay or your score will go down. However, my friend had taken the exam a few days ago . He has written 120 words in the integrated essay, 300 words in the independent essay; as a result , he has gotten 24 What’s your opinion about that ? I get nervous When I practice the time is gone , I just write 180 -200 words.

Juva to say you're the best at tutoring TOEFL test is still but an understatement. You're such a gem. I registered 2 weeks ago for TOEFL and I knew nothing about the test. But with your lessons I've done okay for myself. I had my test today. I had R27 L23. I expected more but I got what I got. I used your templates for my writing and speaking. While I believed I did well for my writing, my nerves acted out and I can't say the same about speaking. I was talking like a robot and even forgot the points for the general/specific session. I made sure I didn't stop talking even though I knew I was saying gibberish. I hope I get up to 23 in my speaking cos that is a required score for me in my applications
Thank you so much Layomi! I'm so glad you found the channel helpful. Congratulations on your scores, you did an amazing job! Don't worry about speaking, I keep my fingers crossed :).

Wow! Such an impressive video! You're so kind and clear in explaining. If people like you exists out there! I'm wondering why I paid too much for useless courses. I have struggled to pass from the 23 score barrier. Let's see how it goes on the next few days. Thank you so much Juva!
Thank you so much! Is preference question different from advantages/disadvantages type? For example, what would be the structure if I'm given a question like this? - "Some people prefer the quiet life of the country. Others prefer the hustle and bustle of city life. Compare the advantages and disadvantages of both sides. Where would you prefer to live? Give reason for your preferences." Here it has explicitly mentioned to compare advantages and disadvantages.
You're so welcome! The question asks you to state the advantages and the disadvantages and, additionally, you have to state where you would prefer to live. If you get a question that asks you only about your preference, you should not state advantages and disadvantages. In this sense the two questions differ.
Learning in a space with different people can provide us better results when it comes to acquire new knowledge and put it into practice. That is why I prefer interactive classes to only listen to the teache speak. I feel this way for some reasons, which will be explained in the following essay. To begin with, talking and discussing with people about many topics can provide us multiple points of view that can be useful to change some ideas or refute what is wrong, because when we do not share our ideas and everything we know, it is hard to check if they are correct. As a personal example, whenever I learn something new I discuss about it with some friends to see if this is right or makes sense, because I can even learn more when I talk about it with somebody. Furthermore, interactive classes can not only be useful when it comes to acquire new information, but also can help us develop some social skills, such as collaboration and how to speak/interact with others. I know many people who try to overcome some personal limitations, such as shyness and an introvert sense, by joining group classes more frequently, which have guaranteed them amazing results. In conclusion, I strongly believe interactive classes are better than just listening to the teacher speaking, because we can share ideas, knowledge, and improve communication points.

I love your video, Juva! But, Jesus Christ, the day I can write an essay like you do, I will probably not need to watch videos on youtube anymore... hahaha I'm so far from that level!!! Thank you though :)
Please gimme feedback Juva I can not agree more there’s a lot student that prefer to only listen when class began, or let’s say passive studying. However, I feel better to do active studying which is interactive class is the best way to learn better to scale up my capability. There’s two reason for me to state that interactive classes is the best way to study. First of all, I feel interactive classes give me better understanding of the topic. Based on my experience when I was in an english class, the teacher give us an english game to play, our class feel weird in the first time because we actually didn’t even play a game of this. The game is easy and we just need to do the work by asking question, it’s particulary give us an extra-practice of how to speak and sensing the grammar better. Second reason, I want to say this method will improve your communication skill. When I was in a discussion with my group work, I was taking the role as a leader and also a listener to other for fostering the project into success. In addition, when presentation section began we need to show up our public speaking skill to everyone which also build up our confidences. Those reason represent of how important interactive classes for reinforcing student’s communication skill. In conclusion, interactive class where I could act as a whole possibilities to fulfill my curiousity in the topic is the best way to learn. With interactive class, you aren’t just learn better but also enhancing your communication skill.

Hello Juva! I took the TOEFL test a couple of weeks ago and I scored 96 without any preparation. However, I need 100+ to get into my dream grad school in the US! I appreciate your content here on TH-cam. I saw it while looking for extra tips and I just can't stop watching and taking notes! Anyways, I have a question about the independent writing section. I got 24 in my previous exam. I was given a prompt similar to this: " Government has a spare area and they want to give it a) for high school kids as a sports place b) as a quiet walking place, park.. c) a garden. I choose 2 options: a and c. I said I partially would allocate the area for biology lessons and make a small garden. I gave a lot of reasons (though I think they were not very well organized) I typed around 330 words. My question is could it be possible that they did not give more points because I chose two options? I gave very good reasons on how to utilize the area. I know it is a very personal question. However, I thought you might have seen it before somewhere. Thank you for the videos again they will help me A LOT! Btw I am taking TOEFL next Tuesday at home wish me luck!
Hi Elif, Congratulations to your score, you can be so proud of yourself! If you get a multiple choice question, I'd recommend picking one option and giving reasons for that. Make sure that your essay is well-structured and that you use a broad range of vocabulary. Have a look at my TOEFL Writing playlist, you can find a sample essay for a multiple choice question there. I wish you all the best for your TOEFL you can do this!
Juva hello! I got my TOEFL scores. I got 105!!! I am so happy right now! It's more than enough for me to proceed my applications for grad school in the US. I got 29 from writing! I did exactly what you said. I used if clause type 3 and other complicated structures along with conjs. I memorized o couple of outlines to help me navigate quickly during the exam! I have to say though listening was soo hard at home! My proctor only allowed me to use one sheet! So my listening score dropped a bit but others were high so I am overall content with the result. Your videos are an amazing guide for TOEFL. Thank you so much!!!?
Hi Juva! So I've seen reviews made by ETS that said templates are too traditional, and based on their reviews of a 5 point essay, from what I comprehend, they prefer the free way to write an essay, in other words, not the structured, templated, point by point way if you know what I mean. Should I stay in my lane to use templates or follow their "preferences"? Thank you!
Hi Chalisha, you should structure your essay and use linking words and paragraphs and so on. Of course, you don't need to use a template. However, regarding your TOEFL Writing score, I wouldn't worry - I created templates for my TOEFL and used them and I scored 30/30 in TOEFL Writing, so there is no harm in using templates. Hope this helps :).
Hi 😀 You can find it here: juva.podia.com/toefl-materials It's included in the TOEFL Writing Course and Templates & More. You can also find more sample answers there.

Hi Andrea, I'm so glad you like it! Have a look at my playlist "TOEFL Writing". There are several videos about the integrated task where I show you how to write an essay and how to use a template :)
Juva, I have a question. If this essay you wrote were to be above 24. What would you do to make it to be above 27? Would you add anything or adjust anything for this essay? Always, thank you for your videos!
Hi Min, I'm so glad you like the videos 😀. I wrote my essay exactly in this way in the TOEFL and I scored 30/30. So you can achieve 27 or more if you write your essay like this.
Hi Cecilia, according to ETS the you should write at least 300 words for the independent task and about 200 for the integrated task. Hope this helps :)
It does not matter which arguments you choose so long as they answer the question. The examiner is not interested in your opinion but in your English skills.
Nice to meet you! Could I ask you someting? I couldn't include conclusion in the independent task because of remaining time. Do what I did affect my score negatively ? In addition, if it is true, how much differece does it make compared with ones including conclusion?
Hi, I wanted to ask you something. My teachers have told me that writing "I feel this way for two reasons which I will examine...." is wrong and that I should give these reasons in introduction. Will it affect my score in any way?
Hi Rachel, I can highly recommend thinking about your personal experience. The prompt in TOEFL Writing task 2 is always about a topic of everyday life. Think about what you have experienced, read or heard about that topic. I'm sure you will be able to come up with a lot of ideas. Then you just need to make sure that you present them nicely. Hope this helps :)
Its really interesting and interactive lecture, I got a lot of informations and clue. So, how can I get your four skills TOEFL excersice written in PDF form?
What is expected number of words for each task - integrated and independent? I've heard that even though ets mentioned a word count limit, one should write more. So what's the ideal amount?
Your integrated essay should be around 200 words and the independent essay around 300 words. I'd recommend writing a bit more than the word count without exaggerating it.
Thanks again for such an informative video with specific examples and expected score. I have one question regarding to this. What more can/should we add to this passage which, I think, already amazingly contains all the relevant reasons and examples, transitional words etc. to get even higher score?
Hi :) I'm so glad you like the essay! I wrote my essay exactly in this way and I scored 30/30 in TOEFL Writing. So there is nothing that needs to be added :).
Don't worry about your typing speed. As long as you type in a usual speed, you will be fine. You don't need to be extraordinarily fast to finish the tasks on time. Of course, if you want to practice typing, I'd recommend checking out websites where you can learn it for free.
Hi Shambhavi, if the question asks you to pick a preference, you should do so. You must answer the question in order to get a high score. Hope this helps :).
Hi Su, whenever you write something in English try to express it in your own words. If you don't know the vocabulary look it up and use it. Eventually, you will get used to thinking of synonyms and it will get easier.
@@juva oh really cause your english teaching is too good . Can I ask you a question ? Why do some teachers say that you are allowed to use idioms on your toeic/ TOEFL essays but not ielts . Could you please confirm this for me , thanks ?
Hi juva! i just finished my test and got my unofficial scores but onthe website it still lists my test as “upcoming” even though i finished it. Is this normal? I did the home edition by the way
Hi Elio, don't worry, it's normal. On my ETS account it said "to be scheduled" until I received my TOEFL scores. I'd recommend waiting at least 10 days if you have the time. If you don't have your scores by then, I'd contact ETS and ask them whether everything is ok. Hope this helps :)
Hi, exactly, this video is about the writing task 2 of the TOEFL iBT. In the TOEFL Home Edition you get the same test that you would get in the test center.
Thank you so much Daniel! I'm so glad you liked it. I wrote this essay in the same way as I wrote my TOEFL essay and I scored 30/30 in TOEFL Writing. So it should get a similar score.

Thanks for the lecture, it is an eye opener. But I need someone that can help me to check my essays
I'm so glad you like it :). I'm afraid I don't offer this at the moment because I have to study a lot for university. However, if you have any questions, put them in the comments, I'll be happy to answer them.

Can you do a same video but for the Task 1?
I'm so glad you liked it! I noted your wish :)
I love your video, Juva! But, Jesus Christ, the day I can write an essay like you do, I will probably not need to watch videos on youtube anymore... hahaha I'm so far from that level!!! Thank you though :)
I'm so glad you like it Thais :). You can absolutely do this!
Thank you very much. Is it always best to support your points with personal experiences? Or can I use general examples as well?
You're most welcome! You can also use general examples, it does not necessarily have to be your personal experience.
Please gimme feedback Juva
I can not agree more there’s a lot student that prefer to only listen when class began, or let’s say passive studying.
So great that you practice writing essays :). Well done!
Omg she’s gonna hit the 300 words only in the first body paragraph
Haha :D
This is gold 🤯
Thank you! Glad you like it :).
Thank you so much!
I really learned good points from this video.
Glad it was helpful!
Cool example, thank you
Glad you like it! :)
Hi, Juva! Your channel is amazing, and it has helped me a lot. Where can I find TOEFL prompts to start writing my essays? Thank u.
Hi Isabele, I'm so glad you like my channel 😀. I assume you refer to the TOEFL Writing Templates. You can find all templates here: juvastore.sellfy.store/p/toefl-all-in-bundle/
you are the best ❤
Thank you
Thank you Juva
I'm so glad you like it 😀.
As wish to next videos, I don't know if it is possible here, but I need some help with grammar for TOEFL. I have been tried to study grammar in different ways, but it does not work totally. I practically always feel insecure when I am writing and I think with Juva I can really improve.
I'll see what I can do Paula. You're definitely right, grammar is important in the TOEFL.
A wonderful and useful video it will help me a lot, waiting for your new video thank u.
Glad to hear that! You're most welcome :)
Hail Juva, the goddess of TOEFL!
Haha thank you :D
@@juva Thank you Yuva! I definitely added that to my playlist. I have been taking a lot of notes!
@@elifiva You're most welcome Elif!
@@elifiva Congratulations Elif! That's awesome, you can be so proud of yourself! I'm so glad the videos were helpful to you :).
Hope this helps :).
it was a great lesson I have ever watched. thanks a lot. RESHAD PETROSYAN FROM AFGHANISTAN.
I'm so glad you like it Reshad :)
Thank you great video. Looking for question one for writing if that possible🤗🤗🤗
I'm so glad you like it! I noted your wish :)
Hi! I'm sorry, but where can I find the file of this essay?
Hi 😀 You can find it here: juva.podia.com/toefl-materials It's included in the TOEFL Writing Course and Templates & More. You can also find more sample answers there.
In the actual test do you have an automatic Word counter or do we have to count by ourserlves?
The words are counted automatically, so you will always know how many words you have written 😀.
Really beneficial video, thank you so much mam :)
Most welcome 😊
Can you share some listening tips like when we need to understand the pause of lecturer and when we should take notes. If you help it i will be thankful 👋😌
I noted your wish :). Also, have a look at my TOEFL Listening playlist, there are videos where I give you tips for TOEFL Listening and note-taking in particular. Hope this helps!
Hi Juva thank you for this video tomorrow is my exam wish me luck
Good luck!!
Hi Juva, thank you for creating this video. I was wondering if you have a video of Q #1 Integrated Essay? thank you very much again!
Hi Andrea, I'm so glad you like it! Have a look at my playlist "TOEFL Writing". There are several videos about the integrated task where I show you how to write an essay and how to use a template :)
Well done
I'm so glad you like it 😀.
amazing...tnx a lot❤
You're most welcome!
Effective ❤️
Thank you!
Dear Juva,
How many words do I have to write for the integrated task and how many for the independent task?
Thanks so much.
Hi Cecilia, according to ETS the you should write at least 300 words for the independent task and about 200 for the integrated task. Hope this helps :)
@@juva
Great! Thank you!
@@EllySpeleers You're welcome!
following you form is more important than contents for the writing? or it is not so?
It does not matter which arguments you choose so long as they answer the question. The examiner is not interested in your opinion but in your English skills.
Nice to meet you! Could I ask you someting? I couldn't include conclusion in the independent task because of remaining time.
Do what I did affect my score negatively ? In addition, if it is true, how much differece does it make compared with ones including conclusion?
Hi :) So great that you took the TOEFL. I can't tell to what extent it will affect your score. Don't worry about it!
@@juva Thank you for your reply! I'll try not to take it too seriously!
@@木ミンティス-s3f You're very welcome!
Hi, I wanted to ask you something. My teachers have told me that writing "I feel this way for two reasons which I will examine...." is wrong and that I should give these reasons in introduction. Will it affect my score in any way?
I wrote my essay like this and I scored 30/30 in TOEFL Writing, so it's fine :).
@@juva Thanks:)
Dear Juva, could you please give me some tips about how to come up with ideas quickly :)?
Hi Rachel, I can highly recommend thinking about your personal experience. The prompt in TOEFL Writing task 2 is always about a topic of everyday life. Think about what you have experienced, read or heard about that topic. I'm sure you will be able to come up with a lot of ideas. Then you just need to make sure that you present them nicely. Hope this helps :)
Its really interesting and interactive lecture, I got a lot of informations and clue. So, how can I get your four skills TOEFL excersice written in PDF form?
I'm so glad you like the video :). I'm not sure what you mean by PDF format. Could you specify please?
@@juva Mean, the written form.Really appreciate it and thanks for good work
is it good to write 'for instance' in place of for example?
Sure, it's a great idea because this way you show that you know several ways to express "for example".
@@juva thank you for the reply. Your sample answers have 400+ word count. Is this okay?
@@desilva7812 That's ok. I wrote my essay in this way in the TOEFL and I scored 30/30 in TOEFL Writing.
wow sweet video
I'm so glad you like it! :)
@@juva Thank you very much again for your fast reply!
@@pannapple5682 You're most welcome!
Juva could you please tell how can I improve my typing like as you have done ??
Don't worry about your typing speed. As long as you type in a usual speed, you will be fine. You don't need to be extraordinarily fast to finish the tasks on time. Of course, if you want to practice typing, I'd recommend checking out websites where you can learn it for free.
@@juva thank you so much 💜
I got my answer
@@wishellie4565 You're most welcome!
Hi Juva, Instead of choosing one preference , can we write about both and explain their importance
Hi Shambhavi, if the question asks you to pick a preference, you should do so. You must answer the question in order to get a high score. Hope this helps :).
Juva you are really my savoir! your videos are soooooooo helpful!! Keep going!
Thank you! I'm so glad you like them!
I would say this Is easily a score of 30.
I wrote my TOEFL essay in this way and I scored 30/30 :).

Coming soon :)
Hi Juva I am already 60 years old and still want to teach english
Is there sny possibilluty that I wont be hired?
Please sdvice me.
Hi Maria, so great that you want to teach English! I think that teaching is always possible no matter what your age is. Don't worry about that!
Helpful
Glad to hear that!
Hi Juva, how can I improve my skill of paraphrasing? I am having trouble with it.
Hi Su, whenever you write something in English try to express it in your own words. If you don't know the vocabulary look it up and use it. Eventually, you will get used to thinking of synonyms and it will get easier.
Can we use this tips for TOEFL ibt?
Sure, this is for the TOEFL iBT :).
TNX a lot
I'm so glad you like it! 😀
Hi . I thought a native english speaker is not allowed to take the Toefl test ( cause you said you got 30/30 writing)
Hi William, I'm not a native speaker, I'm German :)
@@juva Thank you so much! I’ll let you know by then :$
@@chamaks Ok, I'm looking forward :)
hi juva, this is for TOELF ibt home edition? :,v
Hi, exactly, this video is about the writing task 2 of the TOEFL iBT. In the TOEFL Home Edition you get the same test that you would get in the test center.
This is an excellent example of a good essay. I liked a lot this video, Juva! How much do you think it could score, 5/5?
Thank you so much Daniel! I'm so glad you liked it. I wrote this essay in the same way as I wrote my TOEFL essay and I scored 30/30 in TOEFL Writing. So it should get a similar score.
Tomorrow is my exam wish me good luck
Good luck Simo! You can do this :)
Can we use BECAUSE twice in conclusion?
Yes, that's fine :).
