@Nickh4929 Oh stop crying like a little girl. I'm so sick of fans shitting all over Pettersson after one season with a playoff in which he actually does get injured halfway through the year. Stop being little babies and grow up. Whining like little girls isn't going to make your hockey team better. Show some respect. This guy is one of the best players in the league and we're lucky to have him. Just wait and see what happens over the course of the next few years. Watch and learn.

Allvin is much more impressive than he was a year ago. And you're right about being cohesive. Benning used to talk about the organization being aligned and not really achieving it. I personally really like Allvin’s attitude. Benning’s benchmark was “it’s day-to-day, if we make the playoffs then anything can happen” and that was a pretty awful attitude that didn’t push towards any progress. This year was super successful but Allvin’s right in saying “only round 2”. Gotta push the players to know that better results are possible and this isn’t the peak.

As long as ownership continues to put trust in Jim Rutherford and company, and STAYS THE HELL out of trying to manage the team themselves, then, there may be an actual COMPETITIVE future for The Canucks! Makes you kind of feel warm inside, doesn't it? Now, next training camp, hire Wayne Gretzky for one hour, and have him teach the team his mantra: You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Tocc doesn't see the value in a shot and a rebound? Why? Do you value shooting pucks at defenders more than at the goalie? I get the Tocchet love. But the idea that shooting the puck on the net has no value without your own players clogging the lane is absurd. We made Edmonton look like the 2012 LA Kings cause this team refuses to shoot the puck on net unless 6 dudes are in the lane. The lamest hockey cliche around is "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." I get the philosophy of getting sticks on pucks and taking away the goalie's eyes. But at the same time, we shouldn't be holding pucks til the defenders remove passing lanes and shooting lanes. But there's gotta be some room for just throwing the puck on net and hoping for a rebound chance too.

Canucks are the most jinxed team with injuries. And like the sabres they will never win a cup..They quit in game 6..pathetic outing. The owners are a joke don't spend money on marquis forwards, alvin guy even said not enough money lol..the best forward theyve had in 30 years is marcus naslund.. messier didnt count.. its a loser franchise for a loser city. Unfortunately canada will never win a stanley cup again. Welcome to the new nhl where american owners buy cups.

When Allvin talks about young players knocking on the door, does anyone know who the 2-3 guys are that will be stepping into the lineup? I'm looking at Lekkermaki, Raty, Podkolzin and Aman. Are there any others? Will Willander and Petterson2 step in?

Alvin said the back end goal-tending wasn't that good. I thought Arty Played Amazing. Its constancy of the teams play. Also I feel the league and the teams MUST tell when a player is playing injured. If the injury affects their game it affects the fans especially if the player is playing like crap. I have been watching the Canucks since the 70s and I feel the Dam Whale is Cursed by McCaw, Caw Caw Caw with the dumb Orca bay. Its the Logo of Orca Bay not the Canucks. Orca Bay is dead and so should whale logo. Get rid of the Whale and Bring Back the Skate!
