The NHL hockey season is a very long and brutal process. Sometimes you don't play well at certain times. Sometimes you do play well. That's just the way it is. You've got to play well as a team, generally speaking, in every single one of those segments. And by the way they didn't actually play that badly. Yes it was a good series and they did keep the oilers on their toes, but it doesn’t mean we were always playing well. This team has some amazing skill and heart, I wish Brock and the rest of the boys a healthy recovery. This series was amazing to watch and I hope we Oilers fans can cheer and support our club as well as this city got behind theirs.
I like the answers they gave but they probably should have waited a couple weeks for this.. these guys are shell shocked and haven’t had the time to think about it. I think we all knew Petey was injured or something was at least bothering him, and the timeline adds up. Boeser is turning into a real leader on this team. Really proud of this group this year
The core of this team will continue to improve, and these are stand up guys who you can really root for. This off season will be huge - I think the players now know what it will take physically and mentally to make a long run in the playoffs. As long as Allvin can continue to give the team the proper pieces, I am optimistic for the future!

I think the Canucks will be beast next year. Hope they take care of their bodies and understand the importance of it. Our team is still young, got a taste of that second round playoff intensity, emotional maturity, can’t wait for next year.
Something doesn't fully add up about Petey being injured in January. I wondered if he had something going on by Feb, but maybe he wasn't fully up front about it. Because it's a contract year and he's a competitive guy, you could see that happening. The team for sure would have shut him down if they thought it was as significant as it seems to have been. I'd like to see him work on his puck protection. He has good size and reach. You see guys like Draisaitl and even Tkachuk who can keep the puck away just coasting and using their positioning. That and to get lower into a more stable skating stance. Point being, injuries are going to happen but you should have a foundation to work from that doesn't totally neutralize your strengths if slightly off. Which for Petey his strength is his hockey IQ, so he should be able to find a way to maintain that when and if he loses a step.

As much as I love Quinn he is not big enough for playoff hockey. It’s time he rethought his strategy. I remember Gretzky getting absolutely destroyed trying to bring the puck across the blue line towards the net. What he did after that was gain the blue line stop and pass the puck to whoever was open. Getting double teamed is a harsh reality. Quinn is a smart hockey player time to figure out something new or gain some weight to fit in
