- The Tata Hexa was a 6/7 seat premium crossover SUV based on the Safari Storme X2 platform. It was the last body-on-frame construction RWD based passenger SUV from Tata motors.
The Hexa was on sale from 2017-2020 and was available only with a 2.2L Varicor Turbo diesel engine. A 5 speed manual gearbox was available only on the base XE variant whereas the XM, XT & XT 4x4 were available with a 6 speed manual gearbox. A Belgium sourced 6 speed torque converter Automatic gearbox was also available on the XMA and XTA variants alone.
The Hexa was available in the price bracket of ₹11.9 - ₹17.5L ex showroom in 2017.

I own a Hexa XTA done 1 lakh km. Still it is rock solid and drive comfort and that punch ✊ vera level.. even fortuner cannot match its driving comfort, power and safety.. i have 4 cars but dont know why i am emotionally connected only with this beast ❤

I still remember the day 6 years back when we went to showroom for booking Tiago for my brother. I saw Hexa there and tried to open the rear door.. i couldn't open in one hand due to the weight. First time I felt a car like tank. Still now whenever I'm seeing this car I will call it as a tank only. Awesome build. Sad it doesn't receive proper recognition which it deserves.

Tata cars are too good.
But Very very worst service, after my first service battery was dead, i purchased in nov 2023, within one month battry issues in my tata nexon, and taken into tuticorin tata service center in 16th dec 2023. And they kept in water logging area. After heavy flood was happened in tuticorin 18th dec 2023 my entire car was spoiled by them in flood.
Dont buy any products in tuty tata derik dealer.
Worst customer service support.
And still now they are not allowing me to see my vehicle.
And service center manager saran babu, & ganesa moorthy, is behaving in a very rude way.
I entered into service center and found my vehicle in fully sinking condition.
Even if i kept it in home, i can save it in a proper way. i lost 15 lakhs, i asked more than 3 days about my vehicles, and got the reply as vehicle is in safe condition.
Still they refused to see my vechile atleast.
More than 10 new vehilces spoiled by this derik tata service center thoothukudi.
I have all recorded voice calls. But still i dont know how to recover my vechile, i used only 2500km. Really pathetic experience. This is my first car.
Please Dont go with tata derik tuty, tirunelveli, kovilpatti. All are trying to cheat the innocent customers.😢😢😢
Its my favourite car when it was launched and i got feel lucky when i done test drive both automatic and manual. Only problem i felt is the length of the car and sadly thats the main reason i booked and cancel it. For the price its worth in 2017and im feeling bad seeing the prices of safari and harrier which crossed 26 lakhs. One of the best feature rich interior and exterior, Great engine car from Tata.

I once drove this car with zoomcar rental, a very comfy seven seater car for a big family. I really loved the comfort and the drive experience of this car and those memories are still fresh in my memory. I am hoping Tata motors will reconsider launching this model, if this comes it will easily compete with Innova Hycross.

In 2017, Innova Crysta was in similar price range and people directly chose Crysta because of reliability. Even if TATA relaunch Hexa then price is going to be 25L+.
