I do find it bizarre as to why they are there. I also have been noticing a lot of straight cis men just inserting themselves into queer spaces. I see so many on lesbian dating apps as well as gay here in Brisbane there are way more straight people in gay bars then queer people. I also too get hit on way more by men when I go out then what my straight friends do and I am visibly gay so they know what they are doing.
