    I enjoy your videos, but PLEASE invest in a good pair of safety glasses! You can get them Plano or with a prescription, even bifocal/progressives. I get mine with Transitions when working outside because I’m sensitive to sunlight. Sooner or later, you’ll get something in your eye and you want to save your eyesight.

    Do you account for the 1/8 when you measure?

      @homemend  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I like measure it tight and then subtract an eighth would give you some nice play

    I'll bet that tube of window glazing cost WAY more than a small tub of old school glazing compound. Using that is just as easy and almost as quick.

    • @homemend
      @homemend  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Al. The tube was six bucks but if I remember glazing the old school way, it was easier to remove the sash and put it on a workhorse

    • @alcarey8084
      @alcarey8084 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Home Mender a the homeowner, I've never removed the dash. I take out the old compound, then roll a ball of compound into a snake, put it in place, then flatten it against the glass. I can do a 12 pane window in about 10-15 minutes, the whole house in a weekend. I've done this twice in 30 years as a preventative measure and to make repainting easier.

      You sir are awesome. That is intense. I learned on 1930s houses, remove an old fluted piece of casing, and the stop trim, pull the rope from the side of the window and let down the weights from the rollers lol wow just describing it sounds old
