On this first part of EFAP #150, I'd like to thank you for your hard work throughout all the episodes, that must need a great lot of work. So thank you EDIT: Added work to 'Hard Work' being I am the big tism
@Headmetwall Don't sell yourself short on what you do. These timestamps are extremely helpful for me navigating through EFAP. Especially given how much busier I've been lately and me wanting to get to the good stuff and then backtrack. So overall, I want to thank you for doing this. And happy three year anniversary to EFAP.
I was there when EFAP #1 went live on MauLer’s channel. It has been a fantastic three years seeing a bunch of great people coming together and making my day brighter and better. Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you guys!
MauLer has taught me so much about assessing stories and to stop using themes drawn out of nowhere to excuse huge plot errors. It really changed my life for the better and made me realize just how much Nothing™ all these video essayists are spouting. You are taking a stand with informative content, honestly the best kind of TH-camr and the one we needed. Seperating your feelings from the actual craft to determine its quality - we need more people doing that.
@@BirdsElopeWithTheSun09 how? You do realize they are massive hypocrites when it comes to maintaining consistent principles and not to mention if you apply the standards mooler has for film criticism you would basically all movies being shit. Not exactly good if you apply a standard that basically no one can reach.
I was first aware of Mauler through his Unbridled Rage of the Rise of Skywalker, and instantly became a fan. Even then, I wasn’t that interested in EFAP until I decided to sit through one in full. So I chose EFAP 54. What an amazing decision. Because thanks to that, I went on a binge and discovered a community that’s just so… close with each other. So inviting. So helpful. And oh so entertaining! Thanks to everyone on EFAP, especially Mauler, Rags, and Wolf, for everything you do. You’re truly making good rat, and I can’t wait for more! Long Live the Long Man! And Praise the Don! To another 50 episodes of analysis, laughs, and long critique!! And also: Hi Rags!
Likewise with TROS Rage. I didn't understand EFAP and joined the 2nd anniversary innocent and confused. From there I started at Ep1 and began my journey. Ep54 is a joy and burned into my memory and one of my favourites. Took me about 8 months to catch up, and oh were they the best 8 months.
I may be one of the few folk who've followed Mauler, Rags and Wolf before they streamed together on their respective channels. Back before A Totally Civil Conversation between Wolf and Mauler, back before Longman Chatted with Rags about TLJ with Fortism and Smiler. I've followed these Massives as they've become fast friends, built the Lore, and fostered one of the Greatest communities I've ever had the Honour to be a part of. You lads have always brought a smile to this beastie's face, and have helped me through some dark times. I love being a part of this Massive Family of Toxic Broodlings, and I hope to keep making silly Memes for you lot for many years to come. ^.-.^ Sincerely; a Floofy Meme Dragon
Hey Beuwen, have you been well? I miss the old days when we'd get your wonderful artwork in the middle of a stream! You were an integral part of the Golden Age of EFAP, and I hope you're doing well after all the house problems you were having about a year ago!
I still remember, only a week or two after tlj’s release, finding that deep voiced guy who put words to my disillusionment with TLJ so eloquently, and not but a few days later I see him and rags, who I’d been subbed to for a while, live together! Then of course there was finding wolf through them...TDW podcast was a hoot when I caught it, and Wolf’s reviews were such a treat. And then that warm August afternoon, when all three of these very entertaining guy were together?! Oh man, the hundred or so of us there in chat were over the moon! James donating already, of course, and the lot of us laughing at the spicy humor, the absurdity of Jared, making our little triple-parentheses memes when applicable...and that incredible chemistry between the three of the hosts. What a busy few years it’s been. Here’s to them! For as long as they’re willing to subject themselves to godawful media!
That was a great time. So many good memories. I discovered both 3 in around the same time through different ways and then boom they are doing something together, starting an era.
Can’t say I’ve always agreed with EFAP’s takes, but I honestly couldn’t imagine how I’d have managed to get through the past couple years without you guys. Thanks for the many, many hours of EPIC content. Looking forward to seeing more from you filthy massives going forward.
It’s always good to listen to opposing takes, because if you do nothing but listen to your own takes, you’ll just be in your own circlejerk of your own opinions. I agree that some of EFAPs takes aren’t mine, but it is still important for me to listen to.
There will always be takes that you won't agree with, sometimes they are wrong and realize it later, or you are wrong, or it's more nuanced. Important is that we all try to have the best possible consistent standards and are open to new and better information.
I’ve been around since EFAP 20, and the impact on my life can’t really be understated. You’ve helped me through the toughest times of my life (so far), and I can proudly say I’m a better person because of you guys. So, thanks
As an ex Jim Sterling fan I'd like to say how thrilled to see you cover what I consider his worst video. Fun fact the original context of that video was him responding to an popular discussion happening among gamers about Game Journalists should disclose behind the scenes biases and conficting relationships. Of course Jim was so proud of his twisting of the point inorder to declare objectivity is meaningless he posted it twice... It's hard to believe I was ever a fan sometimes.
Yeah but then I never really watched him for his reviews or took his opinions that seriously. He was just the silly fat man who played shitty asset flip games on Steam and yelled about monetization in games.
I unsubbed when he declared that dark souls lore is political because he sees dark souls lore through socialists lens of "lower class (pigmies) being opressed by elite class (Gwyn and his companions)". I wish him all the best with his pro-consumer stance of defending players from predatory practices, but I can no longer force myself to watch a communist who unironically declared dark souls to be political.
@@ArtekGeneral yeah that was pretty much why I unsubscribed. At first I took a break and skipped all the videos that I felt like I could guess what he was going to say... then I realized I had essentially skipped a years worth of his uploads and I realized there was no point in remaining subscribed to channel I can't stand to watch.
That video is when I began to seriously question Jim Sterling's ability to critically review media. Like too many others, he's since allowed his politics to utterly deteriorate his content
Id say that the 'an extreme outrage' video was his worst, at least before the muscles of the apocalypse one. He was so flagrantly disingenuous about the info regarding doax3 while knowingly being bitter about his own lopsided logic biting him in the ass about how Anita 'wasn't going to take your games away'. But at least he tried to make a point there; tge tlou2 one is infuriating both in that he's disingenuous and that he can't even stay on point with his argument. I was on a similar track with you, but I think I left out if disinterest over how horrendous his arguments were becoming. Which was around late 2014 to early 2015 which coincidentally was where he really nosedived into the ideological pedantry and the extreme left.
I just want to say Mauler, Rags and everyone at EFAP Happy three year anniversary. I'll never forget tuning into your TLJ video. I was a bit shaky on whether I liked the film. My friends were telling me it was bad. But when I listened to your critique it broke me in a good way. I already knew Wolf, having subbed to him before you and Rags as well. So when you three came together for a podcast it was like magic and the rest is history. Your podcast has had its ups and down but at the end of the day Your podcast is great. It's gotten me through some rough times and ultimately managed to put a smile on my face. I don't always agree with you. But I'd never trade this podcast for anything. You guys do what the Internet is meant to do; share ideas and have discussions. So while I lament that a lot of modern western media is meh, I can take solace that EFAP will keep me entertained. So on behalf of you, Mauler, Rags, Fringy, Wolf and the Toxic Brood; thank you so much for everything. And I hope this thing will last for another three years. :)
I may just be one of the Few who followed Wolf, Mauler and Rag's before they even streamed together. Together they have created one of the greatest Communities of all time. I am proud to be part of this Massive Family. ^.-.^ Don Bless.
Man, I remember Rags first appearing on Wolf's podcast not having discovered Mauler's channel yet. Then they both chatted with Mauler separately about tlj on their channels. Shortly we got all three of them laughing at Tonald and Jared, two of the EFAP pillars, on Wolf's podcast. I remember the not so great debate and reader response theory....Then, on August 22nd 2018, Mauler started streaming...a few episodes later we had a name. Now, three years strong I still get stunned by the passion and creativity the hosts and the entire community bring to the table! I hope the show gets to see many more anniversaries in the future!❤🎉🥳
Believe it or not, I found EFAP because of Captain Marvel. A character I'd have called myself a fan of before seeing the movie. I was aware of the declining quality of Carol's character ever since the title and suit change but wasn't willing to call it out (considering the character's more colourful defenders). I'd notice flaws and glaring issues in movies but would still say a movie was good or bad because that's just what people agreed on. EFAP was a weird(grape) breath of fresh air as I found not only a community of people who been talking about the same story issues I'd been spotting, but knew exactly how to articulate how the problems broke everything. It's nice being able to watch something like 'The Snyder Cut', say I liked it, explain why I personally liked it, and then also proceed to explain exactly why it's a terrible movie; or watch 'Uncut Gems', hate every second of it and still call it a good film. It's that seperation that's made story telling much more facinating to me. It's a standard I've implemented into how I view my own work. it keeps the ego in check and has been a great foundation for maintaing consistency. It's nice hearing how people found these massives, hate-mongers, and ewoks. Hopefully this toxic brood grows so we can all destroy art and replace it with the glory of The Don and the cosmic chicken. Your critiques are poor.
EFAP is an absolute triumph! In all honesty you guys have been the voices of reason and opened a lot of eyes on the abysmal state of current entertainment!
3 years... I remember how much of my time in college was spent listening to EFAP and enjoying the commentary. Watching the memes come and go, finding new people to watch from the variety of guests. Thank you so much for all the work MauLer, Rags, Fringy, and Wolf, you have brought so much joy into my life! It is so comforting to have people like you who care enough about writing to scrutinize it. EFAP is pretty good the way you guys did it.
Rags led me to Mauler and that led to EFAP, I've been here for two years and I've never regretted a single moment. Thank you for the hours of entertainment.
EFAP chat: Really? They're talking about gloryholes, now! Can you please play Grace's video? There's been six false starts! Please play the video. Grace Randolph: The Suicide Squad is made for HBO Max, not theatres, because you can screenshot John Cena's bulge in those tight white trousers and post them on Twitter and it will trend. I mean not surprising. And I'd know, I watched his bulge in IMAX, ooh baby! --- Wtf?
@@BirdsElopeWithTheSun09 His movie takes have always been pretty bad. He should just leave it to Alex and OJ because I find them much more interesting when it comes to film reviews.
It really is the best one on the internet. I love the RedLetterMedia fanbase too, but it's basically just 99% memes and jokes. Not so many interesting discussions going on there.
The tribute to Wolf made me kinda sad but I do hope that this is just a footstep on a long journey and that you all will be here for many years to come. EFAP the best thing to come out of the destruction of our favorite stories and franchises.
@@butthz8850 You probably saw it, it is 10:17-10:39 and is just the pan over the Wolf medallion before showing Metal, Fringy, Rags and The Long Man. Short but poignant
Still catching up, but my adventure of TH-cam critics has been an interesting one. After a surgery I was on various opiates and found myself enjoying fluffy meaningless praise about movies I liked, so I watched movies with Mikey, cosmonaut, even quinton, and several other EFAP villains. Then I came across Mauler... the sheer difference in quality between those others and his was staggering. As I watched Mauler’s videos and caught up on his back catalogue, even of things I never watched or played and never had any intention of playing or watching. As new videos came out on those other channels, I realized I had only watched the videos that said nice things about movies I liked... those channels got unsubbed as they released new content and I realized I was still subbed, and my subscribed list grew with EFAP regulars, to which I actually watch each video. Thanks, you massives!
Ty all for 3 years of entertainment that helped me get through my all time lows. Also motivating me to start writing my own story and appreciating good writing more. Let's hope for many more years of EFAP to come, improving every single day and becoming something truly great. Don bless yall
45:44 This isn't too dissimilar from how people talk when they're super into diversity. "This character has Black skin and is played by an actor of color. This character is genderfluid and is played by a non-binary acting person."
About Jim Sterling's point on how you cannot be objective about anything ever... I have never played a single Halo or Destiny videogame. But I AM a big fan of the artistry and visuals of the genre. I have read a few Halo books and some of the Destiny lore online. And yet, I've watched every Destiny video from Rags, Fringy, Whitelight, and I Hate Everything. And every single video from all four of them on the subject is a solid piece. AND YET, you can clearly see IHE and Whitelight are more into the game given their expectations and THE WANT to like it because of how good Halo is. IHE starts off harsh and disappointed because his expectations weren't met, and he's not about investing time to READ the lore on a silly website outside the game, because the game doesn't incorporate it into itself enough. Whitelight will do that and he's more forgiving than IHE. Meanwhile Rags and Fringy pick Destiny 2 and go in sans any other ties. Nothing about previous games. Nothing about Halo, despite how much Rags and Fringy have said they like the Halo games. Their reviews are only about Destiny 2. There's no expectations or nostalgia goggles. And DESPITE ALL OF THIS, all four reviewers are pretty much in agreement that the gameplay is boring and gets repetitive, and how the weapons and leveling up are all arbitrary and the loot is uneven. (Bungie fixes some of this in future titles). And all four reviewers are in agreement that the micro-transactions are cancer, how the music and sound design in places is awesome, how the art department deserves a raise and how the writing department needs to be revamped ASAP because the main storylines and writing are trash. You need more than a cool grimoire card and cool visuals to make a videogame engaging, you need a good story and writing and characters. So you can be objective, Jim Sterling. Whitelight lays out his biases and still says the games are trash. IHE lays out his prejudices and says while the newer games are marginally better, the writing is still trash. Rags and Fringy both say, its mediocre, story and gameplay wise. The consensus is that the Destiny games are mediocre. You CAN be objective.
Is the term "nothing is objective" an objective term? If so, it's my subjective opinion that objectivity exists. You see how flimsy this logic is? Without objectivity, without a solid metric to gauge a film's quality, what is there left to say? I'll tell you what's left: narratives. It's literally enabling a circle jerk of ideas wherein the quality of a film is based on the majority's opinion of it. People who try and say "you can't be objective about a film's quality" is simply trying to defend the narrative surrounding it. Narratives like "it's a masterpiece" or "it's dogshit" or "people who hate/like this movie is [insert buzzword]." If the mob gets to decide what's good or not, then why the fuck do we have reviewers? They're nothing but free publicity regurgitating what the majority says about a certain film.
@@NobleRenegade7 yeah it did get better but it's still not that great I really like it subjectively, (especially destiny one it's where I met most of my friends) but the writing is still pretty bad destiny's narrative will forever be scarred by it's awful writing even if it gets better in the future. it's actually the saddest part about the game for me I really like the lore but the writing team is just so bad.
@Pat It was around the first year that it came out. Except for Whitelight. He did a '5-years-later' looking back thing. I know the games have gotten better. But... The stories and writing and characters really need to be wayy better.
@@valentinegonsalves7322 TBF, they’ve been improving the writing a bit in the past few seasons. Still mediocre at best but not as godawful as it was before.
To be fair to Rags, I immediately guessed the Google fact was Buffy just based on the fact that MauLer asked it and Fringy said he also knew. So even if Rags cheated, it’s definitely possible.
I won't lie, this has been an emotional ride. Loved this series since it early days. Credit where credit's due, thanks to you guys, I've learned whole new perspective of film critique, the problems with video essayists and the difference between Objectivity and Subjectivity. The list goes on. Been fun debates, hot takes to storm the masses and off course, the funniest moments I ever saw on this platform. Can't wait for when this reaches episode 1500. Never change EFAP.
Too bad they haven't done a good job of consistent principles and have used subjective arguments and framed as objective to make them seem valid. Case in point taxi driver.
2:07:47 And there it is. A damn-near direct admission that objectivity, facts and logic are right wing and therefore bad. Nuance, opinions, and artistry are left-wing and therefore good. As if there isn't room for all 6 of those things on either end of the spectrum (or indeed as if the Jimquisition types don't also abhore nuance, dissenting opinions, or politically incorrect artistry on top of everything else). Being objective is inherently right wing and therefore bad. Being objective is a tool of the right to subvert the will of the all-moral Party. It doesn't matter that you're talking about My Little fucking Pony. Speak The Party's nonsense or out yourself as a "fascist"
@@chalysama4446 "right wing" is anyone who isn't in the self Identified far left in group. There is no "real" right wing and the only "real" left wing is the self identified in group. Thanks for several years of content. Been a fan and following since shortly after the TLJ video. I was arguing with people that loved that movie and someone pointed me to the video, where I found you had a lot of the same points and creative usage of a melon, but your video wasn't long enough and I had many more points to add to it. Soon, I became a fan of Rags and Wolf and got introduced to many high quality guests through EFAP. I can't believe it's already been three years. Keep it up, lads. Go long, and analyze strong. If your review of something is only twice as long as the thing, then you haven't haven't taken the time to thoroughly review all of that thing. A picture (or, in this case, a frame paused) is worth a thousand words (at least). And many entertaining and/or thoughtful tangents, as well! Happy anniversary!
EFAP's -- and especially MauLer's -- advice on objective story analysis, objective logic, and rhetoric has seriously helped my writing and worldbuilding, and my argumentation. There was some time where I tuned out of EFAP out of frustration for the runtime and Rags's's conduct during thr ATL:A situation (among other things), but seeing how far we've come, I very excited to see what the future holds for EFAP and MauLer's content. I've been here since the beginning, keep on milking those rhinos!
What the hell ? How far we've come lol? They still think ATLA is shit they just don't want to deal with fan base and criticism they get so they decide that they just want to "move on"
I actually really want them to watch avatar and review it. Cuz its totally possible there are flaws i havent noticed, and im more than happy to disagree with them if they have criticisms that i think are invalid. My guess is they wouldnt like the first season (its also my least favorite. Just way more childish and all over the place from one episode to another than the later 2 seasons) but i think they'd be alright with season 2 and *might* even enjoy season 3. At the end of the day, even if they needlessly shit all over it, im still willing to disagree (or agree if i think their points are valid) and would much rather watch a negative review from them than a positive review by pretty much anyone they've covered.
I binged through the first 60 (or something) when the lockdowns had me bored out of my mind (a few months after discovering Mauler through Shad) and kept up with you guys ever since. I felt so proud when EFAP 100 came out and I understood so many of the memes. Now I’m here with you at 150. What a ride it’s been so far! Keep up the great work you guys, I’ll see you at 200!
I actually found EFAP through Rags, I had watched his content for a long time and then he'd suddenly disappeared, then I found out he's a co-host of a new podcast, and have been watching EFAP on and on since, 3 cheers to all of you for the good times.
30:00 If Hasan bought an average house and it only cost that much because of the area it was in I don't think anyone would care. "Location, location, location" as they say. Where the house is located has a lot of value. BUT that's not it's only value, and that "house" would probably cost around or above 2 million no matter where it was built. It is a *luxury-* a luxury he thinks other people are morally inferior for possessing (when politically convenient)
What confuses me is whether or not luxuries are something communism is for or against. On video I’ve seen by communists say that they only own what they need, but with the Hasan stuff going on some are saying that communists can live with luxuries that they earned with their labor; which is true communism?
@@michaeldorsey9231 at this point put communism in the trash looks like the best course of action. I don't think Mauler realises how much he talks about buffy. Legit when he asked about the Google question my immediate response was "it's Mauler so it's probably buffy"
Abusive? It's even worse than that. Polka Dot's mother tortured and killed her own children, which is a massive step beyond abuse. Grace is either saying that it's misogynistic to vilify an evil woman simply because she is a woman, or torturing and killing your own children is not enough to warrant portraying a woman as a villain. If Grace truly believes either viewpoint, then her soul is a blackened husk.
@@lobsterminion693 far more likely though that she is just so stupid she didn’t understand what the characters backstory was. Not that that makes it any better.
I only started watching at EFAP 5 because Rags and Fringy were here, and I loved them on the short-lived 4 Horsemen of PC Gaming podcast that only had I think 5 or 6 episodes and had a similar format to EFAP. Wolf, who I already watched, was an added bonus. I was hoping this would be just as good and last a bit longer, no way I could have expected EFAP to expand this much. Been a pleasure to follow you on this journey and think about the media I consume more critically and, most importantly, *objectively*, even if I've just been a lurker.
1:49:09 MauLer, love. I have never seen a episode of Buffy. Even I guessed it's Buffy because how you fanboy over it and you talk A LOT about Buffy in EFAP.
Might consider giving it a watch one day, first season is Hokey 90s TV, love it or hate it, but after that there's some really exceptional character work and story telling
"I think there's this thing where if a woman does a thing men disagree with, its okay to vilify." -Grace Randolph. Did this woman just pull a Pokimane troll tweet? THIS, in a time where every Disney product including Star Wars and MCU Phase 4 keeps excusing women for heinous acts. Az brought up Dr Who Karen. And we JUST got a movie where a woman named Cruella, who is a soon gonna-be dog-killer is projected as a wanna-be girlboss!
Was a bit late to the game being introduced to EFAP. I was already subscribed to Mauler as I enjoyed the Star Wars critiques, but it wasn't until I saw Count Dankula's guest appearance last December that I started going through the back catalogue, and never stopped from there. You've inspired me to approach films in more depth and have certainly influenced my own movie review videos, particularly recently. Congratulations on 150 episodes and here's to the next 50!
Maybe this sounds like jumping on the bandwagon but thank you Mauler, Rags, Fringy, Wolf, Metal, and everyone who has been apart of the efap community and making it what it is today. I remember 3 years ago I was ignorant to what good writing is and how important it is to not only just talk about the bad, but discuss what objective writing is. This channel has made me wake up and appreciate the quality writing over just accepting the expensive trash Hollywood throws out. I hope this channel grows to the point where everyone can appreciate more objectivity and less subjectivity. Thank you for getting all of us through these hard times with these conversations and reviews. Here's to many more years 🍺 Cheers
This podcast is so incredible. The production you guys put on is astounding and these milestone podcasts are on another level. I still don't fully understand how a podcast reacting to shitty movie reviews has somehow developed its own lore and world building without any script or intent to do that but this universe that has coalesced as a result of pure autism is unironically a more compelling story than most hollywood productions and the community is just so wholesome and talented. Anyway Mum just brought me nuggies so I gotta go steal jay's content see ya space clownboy.
She somehow says less than Chris Stuckman. I have seen a few of her others reviews and it hard to tell if she likes or dislikes the movie she talks about.
"Suicide Squad was made for home streaming because you can take screenshots of John Cena's bulge in those tight white trousers and post it online and it will trend on Twitter, and I'm not complaining, hey, no surprise, I would know, I watched his bulge in IMAX, ooh, baby!" --Grace Randolph ----------- Firstly, I know its lockdown but Grace needs to take a break and go tend to her needs. She's doing a "professional TH-cam movie review". She doesn't make a joke or a reference about said bulge, she goes on an on about it till it becomes cringe. Anna (TSWG) ogles and salivates over Henry Cavill but its usually a joke or a reference or two, its self-aware and self-deprecating, and that's what makes it funny, because Anna is blushing from like a teenager who knows she's just been inappropriate. Grace just goes on for two minutes, about how a movie will work primarily because of John Cena's bulge. And secondly, imagine if a male reviewer said, "I can't believe Black Widow flopped. I mean, that movie was made for online screening at home. Because despite the female director, there's so much cute ass in it that I could screenshot and get to trending on Twitter. I watched all the cute ass in IMAX, and there were only six other people. I can't believe it. People don't appreciate good movies and art like Black Widow.
Valentine Gonsalves I’m imaging the six other people are all in trench coats with their hands suspiciously in their pockets throughout the entire duration of the film.
Man…..3 years of this amazing, wholesome, and hilarious podcast. And it all started with episode 1…… All hail the Hate Mongers of the Toxic Brood and here’s to another year 🍻🥂🥃🍶🍺🍸🍹🧉🍷🍾
The tribute to Fringy with the modified 12 Angry Men poster was precious and charming. The Movie Bawwwwwwwwwb stuff (especially the satellites of snacks) was hilarious yet horrifying. Far more funny and creative than any animated content on traditional networks for the past few years. Bravo!
God damn it, Mootler. Things have just about calmed down with Jenny and we've almost moved on, and then you just had to go and be all sexist again. Shame.
I've been around since the first. I found Rags first and through Rags found Wolf, Mauler, and Fringy. They've been such a huge part of my life since they started. Whenever I get anxious or stressed, I listen to EFAP. 🥂Here's to 3 years down and many more to come!
Seems like a good moment to thank all of you guys for one of the best experiences I got and still have on this platform, always listen to you while falling asleep, as crazy as it sounds, its really relaxing and even if im playin some game or just want to relax, a epic episode of efap is always there for me. Thanks for that
Long time Lurker here, I usually message whenever there is an elevator segment as those always bring me joy but FUCK ITS BEEN 3 YEARS!? Found mauler through Rag's video of some dumb xbox fanboy so long ago & followed since. Yall have brought me countless laughs, thank you & I look forward to the many more to come.
Man I’ve been watching EFAP since near the beginning and it has been a wild ride. I appreciate all that everyone does on EFAP, and I hope for another year with, hopefully, better media.
I got into EFAP around episode 100, when it really helped me calm down after a near-terminal argument with my wife. Around #150, I was dealing with some serious anxiety and depression issues, and listening to the gang play Gartic Phone helped take my mind off of things I couldn't change. Thanks to all of you guys. Hopefully by EFAP 200 I'll have my shit together.
@awhellnah__ Surprised to see a reply to this after two years. Ah, well, we're still together, everything got fixed, and the issue is water under a bridge very far away. Eleven year anniversary is next week. 👍
56:35 I was listening to this while doing some busy work at my actual professional Engineering job, and just about had a stroke hearing this lmao I can just imagine telling my boss, “yea, I decided to resize the columns because it just felt right.” Oof
I re listen to the every efap episode while I sleep to ensure my dreams are filled with good rat. This is my third time listening to episode 150 because of how good the rat is. I’m insane
7:49:06: I hate this modern use of the word “misogyny”. Misogyny, by definition, is the hatred of women yet, people use the word interchangeably with “bad thing happened to a specific woman” and it p**es me off.
Awesome stream, beautiful intro, great podcast! Hats off to you lads, you have been doing a heck of a job to entertain bunch of people including myself. Keep up the great work and take care :-) Also, hi Rags.
There are places where it rains hard enough that it would be almost impossible to see, happens down here in Florida. The light may have been exaggerated but I would check that up to it being a stylized movie
Honestly it baffles me how stubbornly they refuse to see that it's stylised rain thematically in line with the comic book adaptation schtick. They have shots that are love letters to comic book panels FFS. There are rainy panels that are like this in comics. The only valid part of their bewilderment is that the sky was almost spotless before the downpour started.
It's amazing to see the level of work put into this, amazing that they can make a number feel so important, been here since #21 and it's be a blast watching, cringing and laughing my ass off with these fellows. Also Hi Rags, you still owe me 20$.
This stream lived-up to the hype and the tisms (Jim and Grace) in Spuarts! And speaking of Spuart, there needs to be a plushie of them, as well as the Froggo, Metal and a cute Avatar of The Cosmic Chicken of course (maybe even a Wolf for the sake of tribute and nostalgia?).
Never saw this video when first came out last year. Y'all mentioned Star Wars: TROS rotten tomato score sitting at 86% for months. Guess what...it's 2022 and still at 86% XD
Thank you guys for keeping me sane for the past 3 years. So much garbage has been put out in movies and games, and I'm glad that I can listen to you guys using your brains breaking down the crap. LONG LIVE EFAP. (Fuck Last of Us 2)
With how shit life can be, its nice to see and talk and listen to people who agree with you, disagree, or just have varying points. Because at the end of the day its just nice to converse with people
I know it's just the TH-cam upload time /copyright shinanagans keeping the rest of EFAP 150 from being posted, BUT GIVE ME PART TWO NOW, I DESIRE MORE FAP.

[What a year it has been. Thank you Mauler, Rags, and Fringy for making such an amazing show. I'm glad I've been able to help out in this small way.]
On this first part of EFAP #150, I'd like to thank you for your hard work throughout all the episodes, that must need a great lot of work.
So thank you
EDIT: Added work to 'Hard Work' being I am the big tism
That was quick, thanks
That was fast. Were you taking notes for the entire day?
@Headmetwall Don't sell yourself short on what you do. These timestamps are extremely helpful for me navigating through EFAP. Especially given how much busier I've been lately and me wanting to get to the good stuff and then backtrack. So overall, I want to thank you for doing this. And happy three year anniversary to EFAP.
You are fucking insane, man! INCREDIBLE dedication.
I was there when EFAP #1 went live on MauLer’s channel. It has been a fantastic three years seeing a bunch of great people coming together and making my day brighter and better. Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you guys!
I don't remember exactly when I started, but there wasn't a TFA part 1 then
Nice comment.
I can't wait either!

Welcome to the most Massive Family there is. ^.-.^

I can't even count the times EFAP and smudcast have gotten some rough days... and not only these two podcasts, but their communities as a whole.
I still remember when Mauler and Wolf were the ones covering TLJ and EFAP wasn't even named back then.
Dude same, I found Mauler and Rags before EFAP so I was happy when he became a host.

The tribute to Wolf made me kinda sad but I do hope that this is just a footstep on a long journey and that you all will be here for many years to come.
EFAP the best thing to come out of the destruction of our favorite stories and franchises.
Time code for the Wolf tribute?
@@butthz8850 You probably saw it, it is 10:17-10:39 and is just the pan over the Wolf medallion before showing Metal, Fringy, Rags and The Long Man.
Short but poignant
@@lore_shards thanks, my dude. Good memories.
@@butthz8850 No problem!
How old were their videos? Destiny 2 has gotten a lot better recently.
Narratives like "it's a masterpiece" or "it's dogshit" or "people who hate/like this movie is [insert buzzword]."
If the mob gets to decide what's good or not, then why the fuck do we have reviewers?
Honest to God learn more watching you guys than I ever did in film/writing classes
@@lampad4549 That's a terrible example. They didn't go in depth on Taxi Driver, Rags just said how he felt about it and that's it.
2:07:47
And there it is.
Most of the conservatives or republicans aren't right wing, though. You point still stands however
@@chalysama4446 "right wing" is anyone who isn't in the self Identified far left in group. There is no "real" right wing and the only "real" left wing is the self identified in group. Off topic but could you please tell me the source of your profile picture?
Thank you for three glorious years, you massives!
Even though I'm over half a year late, congratulations on 3+ years of EFAP, @MauLer
I started rewatching with out headphone on and my mum heard rags talking about gloryholes
They still think ATLA is shit they just don't want to deal with fan base and criticism they get so they decide that they just want to "move on"
@@lampad4549150 episodes and two years of history and a thriving community, dummy.
Every anniversary stream has been brilliant! Thank you, lads!
I actually found EFAP through Rags, I had watched his content for a long time and then he'd suddenly disappeared, then I found out he's a co-host of a new podcast, and have been watching EFAP on and on since, 3 cheers to all of you for the good times.

If Hasan bought an average house and it only cost that much because of the area it was in I don't think anyone would care.
The amount of double standards, different definitions and general confusion is really astonishing; nobody can use that more anymore, only describe what they want for the government; property and distribution of wealth want.
@@michaeldorsey9231 it depends, Russian communism had cars available to thier people, with some caveats. The Chinese decided that cars were a luxury for party members only.

That intro was legit fire! Epic! Kudos to the creators! Oh and the intro...far more quality than What If.
I don't think Mauler realises how much he talks about buffy. Legit when he asked about the Google question my immediate response was "it's Mauler so it's probably buffy"
2:41:31 The Ding is right around here, for those who are looking so hard for it.
Abusive mothers being misogynistic is perhaps the most absurd thing that has been said by someone being responded to in a while.
@@connorh7120 reminds me of Wonder Woman 84, even if it was unintentional writing a rape scene without realising it is concerning in of itself.
That intro was beautiful. Like the last animated bit was just something to behold,my god it reminded me of like 70s disney animations.
1:49:09 MauLer, love. I have never seen a episode of Buffy. Even I guessed it's Buffy because how you fanboy over it and you talk A LOT about Buffy in EFAP.

Let it be known mauler. I was just listening to the audio at work… and I immediately guessed Buffy. Only question I heard was 2002.
Been here since the beginning and I plan to stay for as long as I can. You lot continue to stand strong and true amongst the ruins of current media.
May the Longman be the biggest massive forevermore. Your work has been inspiring and I hope you and the whole crew do well evermore
Anyway Mum just brought me nuggies so I gotta go steal jay's content see ya space clownboy.
gracerandolf just makes you appreciate how amazing other youtubers like Capt. Tonald
She somehow says less than Chris Stuckman. I have seen a few of her others reviews and it hard to tell if she likes or dislikes the movie she talks about.
"Suicide Squad was made for home streaming because you can take screenshots of John Cena's bulge in those tight white trousers and post it online and it will trend on Twitter, and I'm not complaining, hey, no surprise, I would know, I watched his bulge in IMAX, ooh, baby!"
--Grace Randolph
-----------
Firstly, I know its lockdown but Grace needs to take a break and go tend to her needs.
Valentine Gonsalves
I’m imaging the six other people are all in trench coats with their hands suspiciously in their pockets throughout the entire duration of the film.
