Glad to see you having fun with the knife man. I saw that model and instantly said "what a beautiful knife!" It has everything I like, a nice blade, a piercing tip, micarta handles and comes at once with a good sheath which people often overlook. That's something I think that it has over the BK 9/7 I like those but then you need to spend some extra amount on a good sheath if you want to roll really comfortable.
I've been watching inventories on this knife for the past six month. It's getting harder to come by, but I just found it for under $98, so figured I better jump on it quick. I love the BK9 and ESEE Junglas II, and like those knives there's just something about this Plan A knife that calls to me as a great larger fixed-blade option based on a practical and proven no-nonsense design . Hoping I end up liking it as much as my other large blades. I have several Condor blades and they don't disappoint. Thanks for the video and review!
Great footage and talking points about the Condor Plan A, appreciated all of that. This is on the wish list for a larger and heavier fixed blade for the collection and our families outdoor adventures. Never watch this if you haven't eaten for the day yet lol, your food looked so delicious.
Haha, that food was TASTY! I do a lot of back yard cooking as well as cooking in the bush or in the mountains. One of my favorite things to do!! Good knives make the experience and the Plan A is sweet. A great larger blade with a nice feel and a good Bowie is always fun! Thanks for watching!
Always nice to have a little backyard fire and some good eating! Thanks, yes, the Plan A was a great choice that day...performed very well and was a good workhorse!
I'm really liking that Bowie...thanks a lot Eric!! ;) Great review as always, seems like a nice stove too. I could definitely see them both at my campsite!
Rick! Great to see your comment man...how have you been? Hope you're doing well! That Bowie is definitely fun...and Lifedoo made a great stove...I like it. Have used it a couple of times and I leave it out doors. So far it's in perfect shape...not any rust and the coating is solid.
I LIKE IT ! A very great hard use knife. There is nothing wrong with a small to medium-sized Bushcraft blade. I personally need a BIG knife at my side where I hike/camp I was once "Tree'd " by a 600 Kg + ( 1300 lb + ) Grizzly Bear. and yes a big blade is better than nothing. That Lifedoo stove seems to get the job done and feeds easy. Glad you had that tube/bellows
I was in trouble without that bellows! But overall the stove was solid. Big knives are awesome! That's why I designed the T17 the way I did...tried to strike the balance between a long blade for processing wood or general tasks, yet light enough not to overly weigh me down. But a BIG blade like this Bowie is just fun!!
Thanks...I like videos that allow for practical experience and use during the video...fire prep and food prep are always a good test of a blade. This one makes me hungry to watch....haha, that steak was freakin perfect!
Hey Eric I just bought the Condor Ironpath and I'm sending it back lol think I'll try the bowie, I saw one of your knives on ebay 😄 good to see you man stay strong&healthy safe&happy!!(=✌💚
If you still have the plan a ; I would love to see an update vid on how you feel about it. Great video, this is the only video I’ve seen of this condor under heavy use! 🍻
I love it still! I liquidated my collection heavily, getting rid of almost 40 blades. The Plan A is still in my collection! I love hard using my knives... most of my videos include a solid beating! Haha! Thanks for watching!
Nice knife. I just ordered what looks like the last one available in Canada. Take a tip from a 73-year-old who hasn't had a health checkup since the 1970s and is still in top shape if you want to get to my age and be in my health you better stop eating that carbon meat.
God bless that Sir and please explain or detail further your secret. I just ordered the last one on earth apparently and just had a similar conversation about health. God bless

Just remeber to get the clear coat off the Condor blades ans it's over the handle pins too. It allways gunks up the strop and fill up the pores in your sharpening stone. And it feels plastic like to touch the steel, just use some aceton and steelwool and lots of paper and you are fine. Why use so much fatwood?
Just bought one for $100.00!! Took me a while to decide which knife I wanted to buy next. Cold steel Tanto was to much for a little knife. Trail Master too much. I already have a kukri. I have an Ontario raider Bowie. A Kershaw machete. But this knife looks like something I would carry on me. That handle looks great. Plus a nice sheath!! It's a deal!
I love your vids , I wanted to get your opinion . Im looking for something new and I like nice thick blades and handles . So far its between Black Jack Halo 14 , Lion Steel M7 and a Half Breed LSK 01 , what do you think ? Or is there anything better ? Thanks .
Thanks! I appreciate your support. I am not that familiar with those 3 blades personally, as far as field use, as I have never held them. Sounds like you have a healthy budget for a nice blade. What is your search criteria? Length, blade depth, finger choil?
@@outerlimitlessthank you for the reply , I ended up going for the Hinderer Ranch Hand Spanto in burgundy linen micarta .Oh baby is it nice . The sheath is done by a Omish leather worker by hand . This is the only time of the year I do anything for myself , I give myself 1 nice gift .
I bought one a year ago for $80.00. the grinding on the blade was hideous. It was like a crack head tried to grind the blade by hand. I contacted Condor and discontinued the plan. The customer service rep did call dealers all over the country to find me a clean replacement. Condor customer service is awesome. Now that knife is selling for $170.00 if you can find one.
Those are Stryker but I guess they've been a little shady on their customer service according to the comments I've received on other videos. Hard to say how it would go...
Okay already! Now that you accomplished getting that annoying mutt barking, take a break and tell us some things about the knife! I will say one thing however, the Condor-Plan A does resemble the Work Tuff Gear-Puzon Wilderness bowie!
Just to much wood to fast I think. Once you get the hot coals you want, then stop feeding and cook that is how I have always done it. Another great vid.
$149.00 for a 1075 knife and plastic sheath? The height and thickness seemed to cause it to bind in the wood while batoning. I think I would prefer to have a thicker blade for wood processing . Thanks for the review, good job as always.
It's a big blade...so it's gonna be a bit more expensive. The sheath is heavy duty kydex, not necessarily "just plastic" and made by Julio Diaz, who does great kydex work. I think you're right that the blade can partially bind due to the height of the stock above the grind, but overall I was happy with it!
My neighbors have stupid yippy dogs with brains the size of a pin. I baton my stuff right close to the fence bc that is where my wood is. I oftentimes I envision a log that I split flying at them and KTFO both of them.
Thanks for watching! And welcome to the channel! I try to present at a nice and even pace...sometimes I rush it, but it's becoming a natural pace for most of my current videos.
