Great wee boat, I think she has better lines than her more popular big sister the Hurley 22. The beauty of such a small boat is that you feel more it is a part of you. Everything is to hand or close by. Everything is easily managed, You can do everything without the need for winches etc. I had a Coromandel previously, 21ft, but not much different inside. Now have a 28ft catamaran, so much space I do t know what to do with it. Spent all summer fixing her up…might be ready for a sail in November….perhaps I should have kept the small boat and gone sailing! One thing I would have done, and perhaps you should have done, is to make her more ‘unsinkable’, fitting watertight bulkheads. Perhaps not the full foam buoyancy as Roger Taylor, of MingMing fame.
Interesting that you don’t have AIS. of course all ships / boats don’t always transmit AIS, but do they always have their radars on. (Fishing boats in stealth mode…actually illegal but not uncommon) Have you noticed anything passing by that didn’t show on your radar detector?
