Your commentaries are AWESOME! And I'm really impressed with your stamina for hiking out into the middle of nowhere. Those sand dunes were indeed pretty 'epic'. Thank you for sharing.
I'm glad to hear Sarah Wonder H. give a few negative comments directed at people who would mar the natural landscape with goofy graffiti. You GO GIRL !
P.S. I remember being in Grand Canary, the sand dunes with the warm ocean one's reward for running down them. Great great place to swim. Sand dunes were a lot of fun. (Cannot say that I'd venture to Namimbia (sp.) for dune pleasure, though.)
Great video as usual. That place is amazing and I will never get there so once again I experience it vicariously through your eyes and commentary. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
For a desert fan, it doesn't get more epic, I think. I actually could hear the booming sand! Amazing you could not see the 'cobblestones' from above. So glad you got to go experience it, AND take us along :-)
Thank you for the amazing video! I would not have known about this place until I watched this video. Stay “Awesome” and safe! Looking forward to your next adventures!
Like so many others here have said, i wont make it there. You narrate so well on all your videos. thanks for the journey. After that hike its time for a Ramen bomb. lol just finished watching that one too.
Totally worth watching! Thank you very much for this. Now that I've seen it, I don't have a desire to go there. A nice place to visit but.... Would you go back, now that you've been? That was a jet aircraft at 10:15. Hahahahaha! I seen it right off!
Good morning Wonder Hussy!Love your video's.But the desert of the South West US I might actually be able to visit. Thanks again for your hard work, from Wyoming. 🌵🌴🐛🕷🌕🌞a dingaling carved a dingaling? What a dingaling.
Wonderful Hussy, you captured the immense and uncomplicated elegance of an iconic landscape. Red, white and blue, so true. Would have liked to hear more of the booming sound you made with yur butt surfing.
Thanks for the peep at a place I would love to visit. As a photographer there is something to say for waking up early to get the shot you want. More vids of Namibia please.
The sand dunes in far southern Utah are very close to the looks of this place. Wildflowers blooming are at maximum during early June. It is called the Coral Pink Sand Dunes National Park. You can get there by a car and park at the main lot and climb a sand dune or two. A day use entry fee required. No need to go to Namibia!
I watched a lot of this, and definitely all or most of the part with you on the top. I like the way going down was really steep, and the tree scene was really beautiful.
14:57 High-flying commercial jets actually CREATE ozone as a by-product of burning jet fuel - they don't destroy it. What were thought to have played a role in forming the "ozone hole" over Antarctica were the chlorofluorocarbon compounds that used to be used for propellants in aerosol products (hair spray, etc.), and air conditioning refrigerants. Just a fun factoid. That's quite a host of sand dunes! We have some here in Idaho, out near the little town of Bruno. Been there - lots of fun to climb them. The prevailing winds there keep the sand moving and erase all footprints practically every 24 hours or so. Cheers.
the airplane would have flown without you so don't sweat the ozone. I missed did you say someone drew on the salt bottom? lol Great video, love the orange monster, who knew africa had one also! Glad you are back safe and sound also.
I was there in December 2013 and that "picture" was there then already. Its an absolutely amazing and beautiful place. I am hoping you visited the "moon landing" and Sesriem canyons too. Can't wait for those videos.
I wonder if they were the same ones used in that movie??......with Jaylo? She went into peoples dreams.....someone here knows which one I’m talking about....several years back, very strange movie but a good one! What’s the name of it?.....someone? They used this desert area, I recognize the trees, dead trees.....🤔🤔🤔😊😊 great place WH!
There are Live Dunes and Dead Dunes,,,,mornings in the deserts are the best there's something about it everybody should experience,,,, at least one time in their lives👍👍🇺🇸 Hottest sand ,,I've ever walked on barefoot and it was a mistake Acapulco👣👣 it reminded me of the movie 10,,🤣🤣
You ain’t kidding, that view from atop ‘Big Daddy’ Deadvlei really was EPIC! A real walnut cracker for sure, lol. Larry must’ve been eating his heart out wanting to shoot that place
When I was 11 yrs. old we took the train from Phx. to California. When we went through the Yuma(bear with me here) sand dunes, I couldn't believe that they weren't going to stop the train and let us out to play in the sand. I've rid trains(old time) and wanted to jump off the train a couple of times. Miss Hussy has that same instinct. I love tracks in the sand early in the morning.

Deadvlie looks like a scene from the TV mini serise Tin ?Man where DG's mother is imprisoned. I wonder how many film companies use thhis as a location.
Love your vids, I should however mention that your two plane rides to get there probably didn't create much Ozone. It did however increase the carbon load to the planet and raised the global temp by at least 10 degrees! Just kidding keep up the good work.
Namibia is a magical place, I spent one month criss crossing it in a 4x4 alone in my late 50s and I loved it!
Been there 30yrs ago, forgot how awesome it is.thanks for the adventure
I kept waiting for Max Rockatansky and company to come blasting from over the horizon. What an awe-inspiring place!
Thanks for allowing me to see something that I will never get to visit. You are the best.
Your commentaries are AWESOME! And I'm really impressed with your stamina for hiking out into the middle of nowhere. Those sand dunes were indeed pretty 'epic'. Thank you for sharing.
Deserts seem to be at their best just before sunrise. Great video Sara.

You crack me up with the flip flops! I have heard about singing sand dunes but have never heard that sound before this video, thanks for sharing!
Great video as usual. That place is amazing and I will never get there so once again I experience it vicariously through your eyes and commentary. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Aww nice comment 😄
Thanks for the great video !!! Those sand dunes are beautiful !!!

How beautiful, thanks for the tour
The blue and orange and white at 12:20 is stunning.
I loved your Namibia episodes. BTW I looked up the age of those trees, and apparently, they are about 1000 years old!
Thanks for checking, I was just getting ready to google it.
Spectacular. Glad to see you traveling further from home (although I enjoy all you content in our neck of the woods too).

Fantastic video!!
that sound the sand makes with you sliding down it, is similar to that of a didgeridoo!
Three seconds into it and I'm thinking, genious. Ya know, Smart.

So friggin amazing. Yes.
Little tiny minds don't bother with how they affect anything. Keep on keeping it real sister.
The colours, contrasts and light are beautiful.
Thanks
That is amazing. There is the Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan. What temp was it?
Sounded like a tuba !!!
Beautiful! My bucket list gets longer and longer following your travels!
I agree, Darlin'. I've gotten up at 05:00 for less amazing views. Thanks a couple hundred tons of a great video on the dunes and pan.
Booming sand dunes! Yeah, Right! You talked your friend into bringing his tuba, didn't ya?!? 😉
Also awesome video!!!
The Huss doing relocation research for the BMOrg. I don't think they were thinking of a location >this< far away!
That’s some beach no water 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔
What a cool place! Thanks for the tour WH! Graffiti on a dry lake bed - go figure!
The Cell was filmed in that lake bed. J-lo movie
Would make a great photo shoot.
The booming sound was cool. Google Translate says "vlei" is Afrikaans for "marsh." So "Dead Marsh"? But what was the coil of rope for?
"The Earth, without the heavens rain becomes powder and gravel. Life without a spirit whole in time, becomes a thread unraveled." Agua --Manhattan Transfer
Gary Roberton, That’s Beautiful ❤️
AMAZING VIDEO. THANKS FOR THE SHARE. SWAMP HUGS FROM LOUISIANA
Best part: girl flying by you on her ass sliding down the dune.
beetle bug tracks...they drink a drop of morning dew by standing upside down on the crest :)
Thanks.
Blaming your frito pie toots on a noisy sand dune!
The ground reminds me of cheap linoleum 😆
Deadvlie looks like a scene from the TV mini serise Tin ?Man where DG's mother is imprisoned. I wonder how many film companies use thhis as a location.
Too awesome 👍🤩
7:57 roll my child ROLL
another very special deserted place in Africa is in Mauritania : the eye of Africa = Richat Structure ( the Atlantis Titan Place )
Eric Dupont, I’m going to Google it now! Thanks 👍🏼
Very cool...
sweet video.
The Rome bomb , add jerky to the boiling of the water for a more rounded meal !

Ps. The only kind of lines I like to see etched in the desert are ones that can only be percieved from far above them, and they make you go ohum.
Nice vid wh
Awesome !
Who was the turbaned man riding a horse across the sand, someone called after him. Lawrence! Lawrence!
The traveler sent them ;-)
