Chicago Aikikai Instructor Profiles: Andrew Vitale (4th dan)

Andrew Vitale has been training in aikido since 1996, starting with the Aikido Club at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIU). He joined Chicago Aikikai after graduating in 1996, continuing his training under then-chief instructor Kevin Choate until Choate’s passing in 2012. Under the instruction and leadership of current chief instructor Marsha Turner, Vitale has been teaching regularly since 2013, and was promoted to the rank of yondan (4th degree black belt) in 2019.
