    Do you have pictures of what each wire from the cluster plug is? Such as colored wires that are labeled, would appreciate it for a build that im stuck on, thank you in advance!

    Are the signal indicators supposed to be lit like that? I wired my signals the same way you did but I feel like they shouldn't be lit up like that just because you turn the lights on.

    I know it's been a couple of years, but, I'm installing the exact setup in a 77. What a/c hoses did you use? Or did you have to make your own?

    What wire did you connect to the module to get the cluster lights to come on? The tail light wire or the headlight switch?

    • @bradenrein
      @bradenrein  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was a wire off of the headlight switch, from factory the cluster has a wire in its plug that signals the backlighting to turn on, so it’s that wire. Has 0V when lights off, 12V when switch is pulled out in both 1st and 2nd positions

    Hey question, when you were wiring the turn signal pigtails, what “power and ground” did you wire them to? So you completely avoided the control box?

    • @bradenrein
      @bradenrein  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There’s a left wire and a right wire from the factory cluster plug that gets cut off and can either be wired into the box for the cluster arrows to light, or don’t hook it up to the box and instead wire to the two wire pigtails for the lower signal lamps

    • @blakehughes6144
      @blakehughes6144 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bradenrein so you just wired both of the pigtail wires to that one wire? Or the white/green one to that factory wire, and the white/black to a ground?

    • @bradenrein
      @bradenrein  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      White and green on left pigtail goes to left signal. White and green on right pigtail goes to right signal. White and black from both get tied together and grounded

    Which wire did you use for the tach? 2000 5.3 swapped 86 here too.

    Smoothly done 👍👍
    Keep it up 😎
    Does it fit on High Sierra 2500 1981.. vortec 5.7 swapped ?
    and how can I order it ?

    • @bradenrein

      It should fit perfectly in an 81 yep, mine was ordered from summit racing, but there’s many different distributors for Dakota Digital

  • @jnstrcklnd
    @jnstrcklnd 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did your temp sender screw into the adapter all the way til both hexes were touching? I have mine tight but there is a gap and wondering if thats how its supposed to be? On Dakota Digital video it looks like they are touching.

    • @bradenrein
      @bradenrein  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I put Teflon tape on mine and tightened until tight by feel. If it leaks, it needs to be tighter

    • @bradenrein

      I don’t have the exact part number, but here’s a link to a similar one. Mine was purchased off amazon
      www.amazon.ca/Pressure-Sensor-Adapter-Port-Dual/dp/B01IO4PRJW/ref=mp_s_a_1_43?dchild=1&keywords=ls+swap+oil+adapter&qid=1602278726&sr=8-43

    What size belt did you use? I recently got the vintage air AC system but I don’t know what size belt to get for it now

    • @bradenrein
      @bradenrein  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dirty dingo lists the belt part number you need in their instructions, I’m surprised vintage air wouldn’t. You can always measure the route with string and then there’s a chart you can google that will give you all the measurements for gates belts and part numbers to order it

    • @spinninck
      @spinninck ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure you got it by now, but for anyone else that comes across this looking for help, for a truck 5.3, the Gates part number is K061115.

    • @bradenrein
