Wow! Sunderland is improving all the time, absolutely fantastic place, brilliant video. Roker and Seaburn are fantastic beaches, spent lots of my childhood there lots of good memories, we should be shouting from the top of the glass centre about those golden sands.

Yeah the beaches are great if you want a week off work/school after a dip in the sea at the weekend, just ask the 88 Trialthletes who went down with diarrhoea and vomiting, "most likely cause being Norovirus", in August 2023. Yep Wow indeed, Sunderland beaches certainly are improving all the time... As long as you don't go near the water whilst you're on those beaches. What a fun filled day that would be eh!
Such a shame to hear such negativity! You really need to seek out the positives. Our Seafront has exceptional beaches and a majestic Pier (well worth the walk out to the lighthouse).It is the site of the free annual Airshow and other events. There is also the Riverside (with the Red House and other artistic exhibits beside the National Glass Museum). We have the Empire Theatre, Sunderland Museum and Art Gallery,The New Spire bridge,Penshaw Monument, Fulwell working Windmill and the list could go on. Acknowledge that Safc do need to get their socks pulled up! But we live in hope!
Ive been applying for Tourist visa for 3 times already and now that i am married to my husband who lives there in sunderland im still holding on and waiting for the time that i will meet his whole family and as well as the beautiful place in Sunderland Uk. I can see there are alot of nice places to visit tlhere in Sunderland.
