It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 . I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.
Absolutely Amazing!.. Thank you for sharing this with the world. I have suffered from PTSD for quite a few years now as a result of Being a firefighter and seeing so many things that a normal person should never even see anytime of their life much less ever day like I had. No medication or counseling had ever seemed to help. I was doodling one day and found that I had not had any flashbacks. Since then I have checked out every book and watched every video possible that could teach me to draw. I am slowly learning Even more important though I have found the beauty in everything now since I view it from the I eye of an artist and not the eye of depression. I plan on building my very own art studio soon.
Good Luck Jason... On your journey of reconciliation... I'm going to be 57 in two months and I'm just starting mine.... Thank you... If you find you have any desire to make Mosaics out of cement marble glass and mother of pearl... give me a holler and I'll teach you how to do Terrazzo...simple table tops and stuff you can make like Koi fish and turtles and stuff....it's very rewarding...best wishes... ericunderwood781@gmail.com ✌️🙏🇺🇸
Jason, I am so sorry that I did not find this beautiful message sooner. Thank you so much for sharing this here, it is one of the most touching messages that I have received. At a young age art helped me cope with a world that seemed overwhelming and confusing. I am so lucky to have had art with me almost my entire life. I think it is absolutely wonderful that you are finding it now and that it is helping you see the beauty in the world. To create is a process of admiration for you are able to see only once you create that all is created. I hope your studio is on its way into fruition. All the best, Natalie.
Natalie, your sanctuary is magnificent. I love the re-use of materials in the building of your garden art studio. Besides that, the plantings are wonderful, as well as your loverly dog, and cool boots! Stay creative!
Recycling and caring for the environment should be core values for artists...you're one of those and your art space is beautiful and fulfills all the ecological criterion.
How absolutely wonderful for you to have such a peaceful and inspiring place to be creative! My mother is an artist and I wish for her a place like this. Your landlords are very sweet to have done such a nice thing for you. You must be a special girl to have someone do such an inspiring thing for you. Be awesome!
It reminds me of spain. Over the years all the reused materials. Even the outdoor lights, the chicken cage, the planks lying around and the controlled wildness of the garden adds to the asthetic I want to someday live in. But as said, it will take years
What an extraordinary man. So happy he knew how to utilize a basement instead of making it a junkyard. I hope people who see this are inspired to do more.
You must have a kitchen table or just about anywhere you can draw, the not having a studio is only an excuse for not making images, yes it is lovely to have a dedicated space but no a great excuse as to why you can not create.
Natalie: Your Sanctuary video is incredibly informative. Loved the idea you presented - Love The Process- which is an integral part of most significant human achievements. You articulated what it's like for me to study chess in my home library, far far better than I could have! Thank you.
WOW = I'm so envious of your beautiful studio, I love how you've used reclaimed/recycled materials to make it plus you're so lucky to have such a helpful landlord. I'm in rented property and it's really difficult to live and work in, also I've got a brain injury and need calm and no chaos/stress. I'm desperate for help with storage for frames, canvases & materials and to have somewhere safe and comfortable to live and work in! And the art is great, well done.
Very inspiring you are to me. I am also creating my own garden oasis here in Oklahoma. The weather here is sometimes unpredictable but have learned to flow with it. Actually learning to live my life as art and feel so free and blessed lately
If you look a the comments you can see this inspires envy and makes people feel like their space isn't enough. Natalie's space is gorgeous- but a lot of beautiful art was born out of desolate, stark, painful living situations. Where you are at is ok. If you don't like it, you can change it. (:
That is the whole point why I am fed up with my city-appartment-lifestyle. There is nothing beautiful to my eyes, no lush garden, no space to be, no intimacy (neighbours everywhere). When will I find my oasis?
Thankfully I will be moving to a cottage soon and can’t wait to get chickens and a few horses :) I’m 41 been around the city and neighbors my whole life is time to move away and be happy 😊
Kristin Bienia TAKE YOUR DECISION! What are you waiting for? UNTIL YOU GET OLD AND MAYBE SICK? Do it now, because time REALLY flies , and you will be VERY HAPPY THAT YOU DID IT ! Feel your eyes with Life and natural beauty and surround yourself with Nature and it's creatures. You will get fit and strong! GOOD LUCK! ❤️💐
Nice Studio. I use to mt bike in Tecolate canyon. I love the areas in San Diego that back up to canyons...but they are getting very rare. San Diego keeps getting over built. I keep having to move out to east county to get away from the density.
Shari B So she pays rent, so do I and millions of other people too! I love my place and I consider it my sanctuary as long as I live here, which is something I plan to do! I live alone and have a 2 bedroom apartment. I've turned my front bedroom into an art studio and I have a gorgeous view from there! Her sanctuary is truly hers until she moves!
@@gidgetnsweetpealacarter9797 don't be surprised when the landlord raises the rent double, and the space is no longer yours. If you are young buy ur own as as possible. 😌

You are so fortunate to have studio in that atmosphere it is absolutely fabulous
It is beautiful but I wish she had given us more of a tour.
Natalie's landlords seem like really awesome folks. It's beautiful and situated in a lovely garden.
This space...exudes warmth...serenity....wonderful.

The plants surrounding this space make it such a sweet little sanctuary
Being close to nature and peace are the main elements for INSPIRATION. Beautiful studio!
Love the rustic nature of your space, the dog and your paintings too. Thanks for sharing your story.

Connection too "Her" is key to our creativity and the reason humans become depressed when disconnected..

I believe you cuz with your own studio so much more starts to emerge from within...something I am in dire need of myself.
