  • Boa constrictors were once a popular pet choice for reptile enthusiasts. But today they’re a major problem for reptile rescue and rehoming centres in the UK, which are now overflowing with common boas that nobody wants to adopt.
This snippet is from our podcast interview with Chris Newman from the National Centre for Reptile Welfare. We discuss why boa constrictors are a big problem for UK reptile rescue and rehoming centres, and how the reptile community can help by discouraging boa breeding and by supporting efforts to rehome these snakes.
