Getting a place in North Toronto is what most Torontonians dream of. You’ve made the right decision, Tara!
You made the best possible decision moving into that house. Some things just happen beyond your control and they are for the absolute best. I would never feel bad commuting a long time to see a super dear friend of mine. Just know all those friends were happy to do so to see you!
Whaaaat?! Definitly invite friends over more often! Your space is so big and beautifull and great for having people over. I live in a tiny appartement and I always go to my friends who have whole houses because of their amazing space.

I have a friend with a house and nobody cares that it’s a bit further than our apartments because it’s so nice to spend time in a home with a yard! As the friend that goes to other peoples places (typically) I love it 😊
The fact that you could afford a townhouse in Toronto and renovate/customize it is amazing! I live in Vancouver and real estate is out of reach for majority of us sadly. Even the suburbs are quite inflated and expensive. As someone commented below you will grow into this beautiful house of yours. The other option is to rent out your place and temporarily rent a condo downtown to enjoy the lifestyle there for a few years?
I feel like if u did live downtown, in a few years you would think the same about that house and wished you lived where u are now. I feel like ur house is able to grow with you over the years.
for sure!!! I wish I had lived downtown and THEN bought this house when I was ready to be more "settled down", but of course I am infinitely grateful to have this home at all! just something I wouldve done differently if I had known!
I have to agree!!! My husband and I moved to Midtown around same time and we have the same buyers remorse feelings buttttttt sometimes moving to the area you like to hang out in might ruin the Intrigue 😂
Girl same - hosting is a huge trigger for my anxiety. Makes me feel bad - comforting to hear others struggle with this too.

I am also like you, very introverted and I dont have a lot of people over but when I do, it feels so wholesome and it makes me want to have more people over eventually and try become more outgoing
Honestly just being able to afford living in Toronto is the vibe. You’re very lucky to have a home close by to family and friends. Most of my friends and family are scattered all over the GTA haha 😆 Home is home no matter where you are ❤

as someone who has lived in both the city and country trust me when i say you can pick your location but you cant choose your neighbors. that being said, you can always go to the party to visit and can then return to your home / sanctuary but do you want to move where you live in the chaos constantly just to be closer to friends.
I didn't manage to see the video when it came out (it's evenings for my time zone), but this is the best morning routine addition 😍
I totally relate to living further than your friends! All my friends like closer to the city and I’m like a good 30-40 mins out in the country and feel bad asking them to come here but I also have to commute to them! It all works out in the end but I get the guilt!
That’s how you know your life is blessed family and great friends.
book club seems like the best thing ever!!
I had my 3rd baby in June! My first boy!!
I went to the hospital in a ton of pain at 37 weeks. They told me it was prodromal labor… 37+3, I was still having pretty strong contractions. I went back to the hospital & they said I was at 3cm & 80% effaced. They gave me the option to stay or to go home. I went home & labored in the tub with my husband & my two children with me. 45 minutes later I was about to push this kid out & NOBODY believed me!! My husband took me back to the hospital & I was at 9 cm. I gave birth 12 minutes later to my little Kannon Crew!
Best advice: practice giving birth unmedicated because you truly do not know & to avoid trauma, it’s best to have all the tools in the tool box! I planned for an epidural & I progressed WAY too quickly. But I knew what to do so I felt at ease with that!
Counter pressure took 100% of my pain away during all contractions, even transition!! Highly recommend lol Zac better not skip arm day at the gym 😂😂
So fun Tara, what a great job you did, our book club (24 yrs running) takes breaks during the summer but our summer read is usually a loooong book that we can't fit in in a month...often a classic. I'm always so hyped after too .

Seeing the Netflix trailer, and it's a Danish director making it. Wow its Susanne bier proud to be a dane my self🇩🇰❤️👏. To know our little county made it out to the big world, on big screens,and scenes. with good actors, directors, filming for Netflix and script writing with other big companies. So nice i didn't even know that. It was her making that. Thanks Tara for letting me know

Me and my husband bought in the suburbs of Nashville after living downtown for years. We want to sell and go back to renting downtown SO BAD 😂 the fun part is…there’s no rules! We can do that if we want regardless of other people who could “never do that” 🙃💕 do you babes!!
I also don't really enjoy hosting but I wish I would. Because in theory I like baking, cooking and decorating but i just stresses me out to be the host and I always think I'm not good at it. So I get what you were saying

Love the book talk. I read Fourth Wing, Iron Flame and the ACOTAR series because of your reviews. I really think you need to read Throne of Glass series which i dived into after ACOTAR, you will not be disappointed!

Weekend was great. Had brunch with my sister , her daughter and new baby girl(2 months), my daughter, granddaughter & her 2 girls. We haven’t gotten together in a while since my sister’s foot surgery,the baby’s birth and just regular happenings. This was long over due. We had good food, lots of shots…lol, mimosa’s and just hung out together. We made a promise to do this on a regular.
Love your videos Tara. I am a 65 year old retired mom of 2 30ish year old sons and daughters-in-law. I think I enjoy living vicariously through your life. I wouldn't change my life,but maybe wish I was not such an introvert. Keep doing what you do and I'll continue to watch and enjoy.

You are so fortunate to afford a house in Toronto with a backyard and space to grow into . With how real estate is in the city it will only keep going up in value. You don’t want to move, then find yourself priced out if you want to go back.

Hahah I get you with the hosting anxiety. I’m always like okay does this person coming like orange juice, yes but okay do they like no pulp, low pulp, full pulp?? Does everyone feel comfortable? Is it like t shirt comfortable or should I have a bunch of cardigans casually (not casually) around just in case someone gets cold? If a person sits on this side of the couch will they have the sun in their eyes?? Lmao general hosting anxiety. It’s funny because if I go to someone else’s place I would never ever expect anything of that sort. It’s only if someone comes to mine 😂😂

Totally get it. I have a similar situation but in Montreal. But then I think I have great outdoor space and more room inside and I’m just comfortable there. Don’t feel bad having people come to you sometimes, you have your yard, and so much extra room to enjoy, multiple bathrooms, guest bedroom. Plus downtown stinks 🫤

One itlaian summer through me off too!! I thought for sure it was gonna be cute romantic book taking place in Italy. But it was pleasantly a nice surprise and turned out to be a good book. Also, I totally get what you were saying about having a group of girl friends. It's so hard to find good friends and when you do it just means everything.
