Books I recommend; Black Silk & Sympathy by Deborah Challinor (a historical fiction with touch of thriller); Someone else’s shoes by Jojo Moyes (uplifting female friendship trope); Overkill by Vanda Symon (thriller featuring female cop, but also reads quite rom com at times). Hope you enjoy as I have enjoyed yours - you got me onto Freida McFadden, thank you for that ❤️
I've been watching, on and off, you for many years. This year I retired. Yes, I'm 62 years old. Last year was the first time I wrote to you. I was so nervous, making a comment on your vlogs, my English was terrible. I had felt maybe you were not that nice. But, I don't know why I thought that about you. Then, you answered my post, I was shocked, and I thought WOW, she's nice. So now, I feel much more at ease writing to you. I used to live in NYC, but now I have moved to the desert, on the West side of the U.S., because my daughter moved out here. It's a very different atmosphere and I hardly know anyone. I'm glad for you that you were able to easily transition back to Canada and renew your friendships. I do continue to watch your TH-cam channel and find it comforting someone trying to adjust to a new place. But now, I'm not terrified of writing to you! Thanks.
I love how I'm not the only one that collects random moments from experiences in my life and plans to Scrapbook at some point. It's still on my to-do list 😂😂
I'm in opto school and I just learned about pinholes (like what you were doing with your fist to look through it)! Looking through a tiny hole actually makes things clearer because it helps the light focus in our eyes, like how using a smaller aperture on cameras allows for clearer images!
I absolutely love everything about this channel. It's been years, and I still can't get enough. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to start scrap booking. Great ideas.
I got over going out for food/drink alone a few years ago, I first did it by taking my dog to patio friendly places, I've never had an issue going to concerts and festivals alone ( that are in my city) , I tend to wander off and make friends anyways lol. This summer i started going to movies alone, I'm not sure why but movies always gave me anxiety, even though you never talk to the person you go with.. lol, but I honestly loved it!! I'm taking myself for some shopping, brunch and a movie this Saturday for my bday before a night out with my friend. This was the summer of me! :)
I've always had no problem with doing things by myself. Walks, shopping, museums, even lunch alone. You really have to enjoy being comfortable and liking yourself for who you are and the kind of person you are. Once you get there doing things alone that were outside your comfort zone will not be a thing anymore. Doing things by yourself lets you go more at your own pace, fast if you want or slow. You don't have to think about anyone else's pace. I still enjoy anytime I have such moments these days when I go for a few hrs without anyone else with me. My " me time".
Man, I have a few memory boxes of random stuff I've kept since moving to Toronto 7 years ago- one for just life memory stuff and another for my 5 years at my last job.. and you're definitely inspiring me to make actual junk scrapbook with them!
I love the scrapbooking!! We used to do it when my brother and I went to daycare and I loved looking back on them. I do believe that those memories will be nice to share with your kids or grandkids. My kids will start scrapbooking soon too ❤
Tara it's been a minute since I've watched I used to watch you every week during covid I've always checked in over the months tho I'm happy to hear your mom's treatment is going well!!! And I'm happy to see you've been well I always love watching your videos even after being gone for a while can't wait for the next video!! Have an awesome day!!
Tara, you’ve inspired me to take a class on my own and it was scary at first but two months in I love it. Thank you for inspiring and encouraging us to try something new! ❤
I just finished Lost for the very first time last night and sobbed the entire finale. I am also watching Once Upon A Time for the first time lol, midway through season 4. Love both.
After watching all of you moving vlogs and watching the decor videos, I can safely say you have the most amazing taste in style 😊 I wish my house could look this uniform
You should invest in one of the mini laminating units. You could laminate the pages and them put them in the protective sheets. That way they are basically air and waterproof. Double protection. Long time junk journaling here to. Love you layout
This looks like such a chill night! 🥰 I love how you share little bits of your life, makes it feel so real! And dude, totally feel you on the kindle vs kobo debate! 📚 I still can't decide which one I like more. Anyway, thanks for the cozy vibes, Tara! Can’t wait for the next upload! 🌙✨
I make journals, not so much actual journaling. I will say one thing I've learned, there is no wrong way to scrapbook/junk journal. Its for you, and how you like it is always the right way.
omggggg before i had glasses i used to pull my eye lid back to be able to see better!! and yes making a small hole actually replicates the “perfect refraction” so it would show you if you had the perfect prescription how much your vision could be corrected!!! i had eye issues and when they tested my vision they had me look though what they call the pinholes and it does the same thing so they could tell if there was actual permanent damage or not!!
Yes!! I TOTALLY noticed, went back to double check, then came to the comments to see who else noticed! I know she's mentioned Tara a few times... It's so cool to see the connections! :)
@@dulcegrace1188 I don't think they've met, but I'm sure they are all aware of each other. MaCenna has mentioned how she loves Tara's reading etc. I wouldn't be surprised if she sent Tara the candle. :)
Yiu are so right about the curly hair routine😹 I have curls and it's SO much work... I do sometimes miss the times where I didn't 'care' about my hair (bleached and dyed it so much no curls were left) it was so much easier😹
omg did I miss a part of the vlog where you did the cover for the new scrapbook? Those are the things I personally would really like to see from you! When you ask for video ideas, the little moments (like personalizing things) i think would make the vlog feel fuller and it also inspires creativity. Don't jump forward on these little things because you think you they be boring to us. I think most of us love it !!
I adore the scrapbooking binder 🩷 I've already started a junk journal notebook but once I fill it, I may opt for this in the future. The projective plastic is also so nice!
The painting of you and Jill looks so good! I love how you added more in the background so the metallic paint doesn’t stand out too much. Also good move on not adding too much detail to the faces. From afar, It really does stand out more. Maybe the next painting you could do Brady? 😅 🐶
For your basil ..... pick the big leaves and pinch the top off any new leaf sprouts (from the upper part of the plant) - this will help it bush out, rather than only growing tall and thin :)
I switched to the Kobo Libra Colour, the white one. I previously had a kindle 10th gen the white one. And its for sure an upgrade from that, and I was being picky and only wanted a white e-reader. Also squishmallows for bedtime is an essential, once i had one i can never go back. I've been trying to collect cozy neutral colored ones. And a must read for this fall is Listen for the lie Amy Tintera. Audiobook is cool too its partly podcast format.
i’m not sure if you were a twilight girly but did you hear they’re doing a tv series based on Edward’s book, midnight sun? my sister and i just started reading the book and lowkey it’s pretty good it’s speaking to my pre-teen self’s soul so would recommend!
Currently reading The Girl Who Was Taken by Charlie Donlea..highly recommend his books! Great thrillers, perfect for the fall vibes (or if you're like me, year-round😌😅)
I recently bought a kindle and I'm still a newbie but the book I'm excited to read next is The Pumpkin Spice Cafe perfect for fall. I have an idea for a future video/vlog, I would like to see a more in depth video of how you plan, film, edit and schedule your vlogs kinda like a day in the life type of video.
For hair health, try using the round brush attachment less, it pulls and causes breakage the most just FYI. also so jealous you've been scrapping for long!!
Try watching some videos on how to prune your basil plant...you will never have to throw out your plant if you start pruning it when you need some to cook.
Hi Tara, I’m currently reading a romantasy which is a cross between ToG & ACOMAF by Sarah J, Maas. The series is called Lady of Darkness and I’m reading book 3 Lady of Ash by Melissa Roehrich. 😊
Love the chatty vlog! Feels like we’re all just hanging out with you! I just finished reading Magnolia Parks, and I really enjoyed it even though it is more of an younger age range. I will continue to read the series bc I’m into the characters now and it was entertaining. I am currently reading Tempt Me by K.A.Tucker, she wrote the Simple Wild series and I LOVED those so I figured i would try out her other ones. It’s a little spicier than the other ones, but im not mad at it. Lol. Im enjoying it so far. 📚 ❤️ 😃
Believe me, you are very lucky you have all four seasons! Here in the UK we have had roughly four days of summer, the rest of the year has been grey, miserable, wet winter. Not wonderful I am afraid 😕
Tara, if you like Lost have you heard about the show called From? I believe it is produced by the same people that produced Lost. There are only 2 seasons of From right now but season 3 comes out in a few weeks. It’s really good!

Trim the basil plant. Look up how to do it. trimming it will allow it to regrow and keep you in fresh basil.
My thoughts exactly, keeps on growing once you do that!

@@imtaramichelle I have my September tbr, but I'm a mood reader. So am I actually going to read what I have hoped for? Probably not 😂
For the basil plant, instead of plucking the leaves, cut the plant stems right above the nodes and you will get so many more stems of basil!!
