EXPEDITION HIMALAYA - Tale of an Adventure in Zanskar

In winter 2018, I was traveling to northern India with the Zanskar Health Association to film a medical training expedition. Where is the Zanskar valley located? Do you know Ladakh? Have you ever heard of Tibet? It's not that far. This region of northern India, located in the Himalayan mountains, is full of spectacular landscapes and small, remote villages that are difficult to access in winter.
The goal of the Zanskar Health Association is to train a team of local nurses and rescuers who can then provide medical care to the inhabitants of the valley.
To carry out this mission, we walked for several days on a river of ice, a well-known winter trek from northern India: the famous frozen river Chadar. In the middle of winter, we lived for several weeks in a remote village called Tungri, located in the Zanskar valley.
This expedition has been very difficult for all of us. It changed our lives forever. An accident on the last day of the expedition took the life of one of our team members. It took me a long time to successfully produce this film.
