    Even though I do not have one of the Big Guys like 6S or EXB...I decided to take part in this demonstration because I really wanted to support 'East Tactics'. This channel has been my go to source for learning RCs. You have been an inspiration to me and I thank you for all that you do. Keep up the great work. "Your a SupaStar"

      I feel the same way, and no matter what car you drive even if you do not drive one at all everyone is welcome in this community. and the 4s's are just as cool if not better. you get similar speed (stock) and the parts are cheaper.

      @@rcbashersandracers4841 The beauty of this hobby is that when you get your first...if you love everything about it...at some point...YOU HAVE TO GET ANOTHER ONE! lol...So I fell in Love with everything about the Kraton...so I started small and decided to learn everything that I could about the 6S and now the EXB so when I do get one...I'm better prepared. That's where East tactics came in :)

      @@2morrowMuggins That is what I did to work up to my Arrma Talion 6s but I started with a Slash 2wd and then got a Slash 4x4, etc...

    Nice experiment! :-) Yes, weight kills performance, but no upgrades kills the Kraton :-D I am running the nero springs too and 4000cst and I am quite happy with it compared to stock! One day I will have the chance to get the M2C caps in Germany and it´s done ;-) Greets from Munich!

    Greetings, thanks for this info on ARRMA shock absorbers.
    I thought I was the one to believe they were too soft for the weight of my Typhon 6s, in fact already half a meter almost bangs the frame.
    Are these springs in the video good?
    Thank you.

      The heavy duty Nero springs are worth considering when your rigs starts nearing 16lbs to account for all the weight.
      It is also a step in the direction of focal being “bashing” rather the grass runs, and flat speed run.
      It does take away a bit from performance in the arena of cornering and racing, as the springs are less likely to dip and sink when cornering etc.
      but for bashing... I love it.

    I just put those on with using 5k oil, and theyre just too bouncy for me. I went back too stock springs. Chassis slap is normal. I used the bladderless caps hot racing, the m2c pistons, and still way too bouncy just running across the yard.

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How much does your rig weigh (with the battery)? Have you breached 16lbs?
      Do you think using the hot racing caps takes away from the full effect of the m2c system, why did you go with hot racing instead of the caps m2c provides? Is it the leaks?
      My guess is that the important component is the pistons too.
      Lastly... I’ve always mentioned that this setup is more for bashing (esp skate parks and big air)
      Flat park grass runs are not my go to style spots to rip. That said, with my rig (being over 16lbs) the setup made grass runs tolerable.
      Thanks so much for reporting.
      But ya, I’d be curious, the weight of your rig.
      😎👍

      @@EastTactics i will check the weight! I have no idea, and yes, i changed to hot racing caps and through away the m2c. They are garbage and mitch dont care! Sent me new gaskets and i broke a bleeder screw and he laughed at me! The hot racing is set up just like m2c with no bladder and they dont leak.

    • @mattpotts8561
      @mattpotts8561 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EastTactics you run the m2c pistons dont you? And yes i bash and jump. But no fun when the truck bounce so high it flips over lol

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I run the m2c caps and pistons and noticed a significant improvement in bounce both on flat grass runs and coming down from big air after installing them.
      I did however have to be really careful installing them, implementing a few tactics (when threading them, as well as incorporating a balloon diy o -ring to prevent leaking.
      Specifics are in my install vid. You didn’t by chance see that did you?
      My rig is 16.02 lbs and with the 5K (or 5000cst team associated) fluid she hits ground with very minimal bounce.
      Maybe your less the 14LBS and the Nero springs are too much. Let me know.

      I dont see that there would be any difference in the caps though, both bladderless.

    The 75 mm Nero BR springs will work on the kraton 6s?? All I can find are 65mm springs any idea on sourcing them? Your Amazon link, product no longer available.

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I believe you’re going to wanna dig in for the 75 mm ones. Definitely search eBay and Google?

      @dajaduke1936 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EastTactics no, ebay, Google, Amazon everybody is sold out all you can get are 65mm springs. Stock ones and the HR spring, the gold spring from Hot Racing might work its only 65mm but supposed to be pretty firm. I don't know the rating off the top of my head.

    Hey buddy. Found some springs for the nero big rock. Hot Racing make them. Part numbers are NRO 6802, NRO 6806 & NRO 6808. They seem to be in stock. Thought you might like to know due to the shortage of Arrma ones. 👍

      @EastTactics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I found some too! Will be reporting soon on them. Thx again?

    • @TTRC
      @TTRC 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cool. Looks like there is good stock on them. Also they come with a preload, so there is a soft then firm action to them. Maybe an ideal spring. 👍

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I looked them up, they look to be the right fit, at least inside diameter wise. My only two concerns with them is that they are only 68mm long, which I guess is only 7mm shorter then he big rock springs I have… so I guess thats ok. my other concern is that they are actually stiffer by 6pounds then the stock nero big rock springs (75mm version)… hot racings are rated at 24lbs or 420g/mm. where the Stock nero big rocks are 7mm longer and rated at 18lbs or 317g/mm.
      24lbs… might be too stiff. But then again… they are in stock… and heck 24lbs might actually kick ass, and add even more slap resistance.
      The Good news… I found some 3rd party springs and I ordered both a set at 12 pounds, and 24 pounds (where my current ones are 18 pound) I plan to test both the 12, and 24 pound springs… also worth noting… these 12/24 pound springs are nice and long… in fact they are 10 plus mm longer then the stock 85mm springs. So it will bet really interesting to see how they perform.

      actually re - looking, those springs from Hot racing, the description doesn’t tell us the rates (what lbs they are). It just calls them soft, medium, and firm. It references the stock nero big rock 65mm springs as being 24lbs. but doesn’t tell us what the actual rate/lbs for each of there colors are. I emailed them for the details.

      Cool. I had tried the hot racing site for secs, but couldn't see anything. At a guess I reckon the red ones will be softer than standard, the blue ones will be about standard and the white ones will be stiffer than standard. Would be nice to know. 🤔👍👍👍

    I never understood how guys like Talbot add a ton of aluminum and weight to their arrma rigs, then blame the company on cheap plastics when the thing comes down directly on an arm that shatters (from all the extra weight it wasn't designed to handle) 😅
