My pops was born to play and make music. It's in his freaking blood! He's hitting 74 now and music is still a major part of his life and being. So incredibly talented ❤ *Tommy (the guy in the shades, hat, and homemade Viagra Test Dummies shirt - that's him, that's my dad 😂❤
Your "pops" has always been extraordinarily talented. I have followed the band to a lot of places over the years and I have always enjoyed his choice of t-shirts. I remember so well when he wore the Union 76 pants. A real dress horse, he is. Loved them in the 70s and still listen to their CDs regularly to this day. Anytime I got to see them in person I would always request of them to do "Shotgun" because they did it do well... Yep, I was around when it was Tommy Redd, Mike & Larry Uzzle, Eddie Blair, Kenny Soule and Mark Downing - the best the combination of musicians.
Your pops' talent is up there with the best of them. He is a Top Shelf musician and lyricist. I am grateful that he remained Nantucket and didn't move on. You let him know Jeff Allsbrook from Virginia Beach (RIP) loves him too along with Larry, Mike, Eddie, Mark, and Kenny - all the originals.
Your Dad is One of the Most Talented Guys in the Music Biz in My Opinion..‼️ Who Don't Love 'Nantucket'.... Definitely One of the very Best Bands Ever 💯‼️💯
It ain’t wrong to Rock and Roll after seeing Ya’ll at Reynolds Coliseum in 1979. Me and my Friends went in with 14 joints of Columbian Red Bud and left with none. Great Show! Black Oak Arkansas, Mother’s Finest and Nantucket headlining. Thank Ya’ll for great music and memories.
thanks so much for posting...I grew up loving all their stuff but have never seen them...kinda of a bummer the lead singer is having a little range trouble but I dont care...will always love these guys...
The original band makeup played P B Scott's in Blowing Rock when I was attending Lees-McRae in 1978. The geodesic dome was actually shaking to these guys. It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen in one of the best venues I have ever attended. Screw the citizens of Blowing Rock for getting this place closed due to "Noise" levels. P B Scott's continued in Charlotte afterwards and then folded. There is a LONG, LONG list of today's and yesterday's iconic artist that graced the "Dome". B. B. King, asked on Letterman where is the place you like best to play, he replied, "P. B. Scott's by far"! Check out P. B. Scott's online and look at the artist that played there, I'll keep it as a surprise. Tickets then never rose above $7!!!!!!!!!!!!1
@jbeanna1 haha now thats soem funny memories im sure the band can sit back drink to but Ken i mean the old old Original band member Ken need to get togetaher with them just one time for a master show but i guess nantucket is drifting away but drifting away in style coming back in the rock n roll fame with new beach style Album and New songs to come and RIP Mrs. Redd and Sweets and dreams the the future of Nantucket Band nantucketband(dot)come for future upcoming shows hope to see ya next time :)
This song should always be coupled with 'Just the Devils' Way '. Not Satanic to sing a song that you wrote in a different time/era?! I always had to request the song(JTDW) at concerts, which never made any sense to me🤔?! But hey, wth!🤙🤩

Nantucket is the greatest! 2:40pm 4/2/2024
Does Tommy still have the guitar with all the coins on the front? I met him when I was in High School at music store and he was showing it off.
