I somehow red toaster's collar as saying "oh oh oh" which is somehow just as funny as what it's supposed to be lol
So my husband watches a lot of your videos with me (or at least hangs out while I have them on) and he straight up cracked up when you were like "bam!" and tossed the sock on the floor 🤣
Your vlogs encourage me to work on all my knitting projects! I like to save a few videos so I can binge them and get KNIT done haha💕
I loved your first day of vlogmas!!! I feel so honored to have been a part of it! I’ve never had an advent calendar before. Maybe next year! I totally understand about not getting enough done! I get upset with myself for that too, but give yourself a break. You work REALLY hard!

Hi Natty. Love the intro with all of the NYC scenes. I'm a first time Vlogmas participant this year after watching vloggers like yourself over the last year.
Loving the start of your Vlogmas! I always need that pep talk too - I'm so hard on myself for what I didn't get done, even if I actually did a lot or that was a day my body just needed to rest. Rest counts too but it's easy to forget that!

I beat myself up over knitting and not making it to my goals all the time even though it’s pressure I put on myself. I plan socks for all of my friends every holiday but I know this Christmas I’m not going to be able to make each of them a pair in time. I’m upset but what’s crazy is they don’t expect them I just like to do it! Crazy 🤪

I couldn’t film my Vlogmas Day 1 do to losing my voice. Hopefully I can film tonight. If not I will hopefully start tomorrow. Loved your video today. Will catch up on Vlogmas videos tomorrow. I am still looking at patterns for my advent from Ruby and Roses. I have not even opened mine yet. I want to wait until I can podcast.
Thank you for the reminder/pep talk! I didn’t quite finish everything I wanted to last month (like one of last year’s advent projects lol) but the world didn’t end. Trying to give myself grace and not add any unnecessary stress this month. Advent should be fun!
Haha such a good point! The world will not end if we don't get planned knitting done. For a lot of projects there are minimal consequences!

I am knitting Aran sweaters for the grand kids.... one and a half done... wanted them finished before now but stuff happened... so as you quite rightly say... 5 rows or 40 rows... better than nothing.

Oh I think that’s why I avoid advent kits! They’re so pretty and fun, but I only have 2 projects going at once and I know I’d fall behind and get stressed about it!

Got my moonglow advent and last night panicked about not having a coordinating 100g skein. Whitney was amazing and is sending me one special. She responding like immediately and made a special listing and everything.

I’m trying to finish a sock for a swap gift so I’ve given myself permission to start my advent project tomorrow once I’ve seen the second skein. I have another unknit advent so I need to see more of this years’s one before I decide which pattern I’m doing with each of them. I may do a wee scrappy crochet square later, it’s only 1715 here in the UK so there’s time.

Yay! So excited to follow along with your Vlogmas! Take it easy on yourself with all those lofty knitting goals! Also, I was wondering if you are primarily a continental or English knitter? After completing my shawlography I became obsessed with switching to continental knitting to get faster and I’m so interested in hearing how others knit. I see you using both methods in your video. What do you prefer?
Thank you so much! I'm definitely an English style knitter, unless I'm doing colorwork where I will do both! I've been knitting this way for so long that comfort wins out over speed for me!
