Love these episodes, have something so cute and comforting in them! Hope that the book will be available as an ebook, so to be more accessible across the globe, as I'm interesting to read more!
Natalie, this was your best tour to date! I had no idea there was such a big production in Wyoming, and they’ve only had the business up and running less than 20 years, which is amazing! Thank you so much 😊. I was in Wyoming very briefly years ago to see Yellowstone, but now I that I know about this mill when I go back, I hope to visit it. I hope that when you come to the DMV you will not only visit Fibrespace in Alexandria VA, which is very popular, but will also visit our newest LYS, Gathering Yarns, which is right across the Wilson bridge in Fort Washington Maryland. It is one of the few black women owned yarn stores, run by Terri Haynes who is also the indie dye owner of At Haynes House Yarns. They are creating a culture and community for knitters and crocheters in Prince Georges county which has lacked the fiber arts.
These videos just bring a smile to my face every time. My grandma hand knit and also had machines. Oh how I wish I had shown interest when she was still with us on this Earth. Thank you for yet another fantastic episode! I may be a day or so late catching up but I never miss a single one. Thank you. Continued good vibes for safe travels for you, Kent and Toaster.
That was so interesting along with the Jimmy Beans and Farmers Daughter Fiber episodes. So good to hear the stories behind these yarn companies. Thank you brining us such interesting content made for a great morning of knitting.
I was there in 2022 and bought some fiber to spin. My husband loves his hat and our friends like the blanket and other things they bought. The knitting machines are a new addition since we visited. I hope to go back sometime. I just love visiting Wyoming.
Thank you for this great tour and overview! My husband and I are headed to Sheridan next week and will stop here for sure. What a great resource for all us knitters and proud that it’s here in Wyoming!🤗❤️
I'm on the other side of the planet and won't be buying any product from her store, but one day I'd love to get a copy of that book. Such a role model for rural renewal and enterprise! Where do they get their machines from?
It’s not like Europe is a country with a singular language…. I looked it up and it is in fact an English word but only used in British English. So I guess they better change the sign in order not to give the impression that this is a term used all over Europe.
Rambouillet is under the Merino classification. Targhee and Cormo are blends of Merino and other such as Corriedal. Merino can also be used as a word to describe fine wool.
Natalie, thank you for these yarn tours! Mountain Meadow yarn mill is incredible! What an incredible lady!
Great video, I like how you let her talk and not interrupt or add music or other stuff, you let her share her store and processes.
Y’all are doing some awesome tours of the yarn shops and mills!!!!! Love it!!!!!
Thank you so much 🥰
That was amazing! So inspiring to see a woman start a business at age 50. I love her mission mindset.

Favorite tour ever.
Aww yay!
So happy to see they have Targhee! What a great operation, will be visiting Cody soon, hope to see some of your yarn.
Ooh yay! Wyoming Yarn and Fiber (in Cody) carries some of their yarn! They also dye their own yarn too. Say hi to the owner, Karista, for me!
this place is so cool and that you can have a tour which is fantastic! I am excited to know there are wool mills!
It's been so fun getting to see yarn production as we've toured around the country. It's an amazing process!
I frequently travel from NM to ID. Clearly I need to reroute in order to make a stop here. What fun!
Oh yes!! It's a super fun!
🇺🇸wool!! 🎉❤
Hi Natalie another interesting video Kaye x 😊
Exciting! A mill in Buffalo 😮🤩
I'm on the other side of the planet and won't be buying any product from her store, but one day I'd love to get a copy of that book. Such a role model for rural renewal and enterprise!
Where do they get their machines from?
Hello Swansea, Illinois.
Hi Janet!
What is targhee wool?
I'm European and have never heard of "Ort". It is a german word, meaning "place", though.
It’s not like Europe is a country with a singular language…. I looked it up and it is in fact an English word but only used in British English. So I guess they better change the sign in order not to give the impression that this is a term used all over Europe.
@@eleonorahof1001 I never said it was. I was just thinking out loud, because I've never come across it although speaking some european languages.
Shame that the yarn cost fortune 😢
To make sweater cost over 100. I can’t imagine if you want to make a blanket
Seems misleading advertising to call the yarn “mountain merino” when it is made of other sheep breeds.
Rambouillet is under the Merino classification. Targhee and Cormo are blends of Merino and other such as Corriedal. Merino can also be used as a word to describe fine wool.
Luv the tour. Wish I lived closer. Please put me on your email list
Aww thanks!
