I honestly have to wonder if going Rattans instead of Arbs was the right choice for Sitaux. Despite that Rattans have 1 more attack and move faster, they're a lot more expensive and harder to mass. Bad frame delay on their attacks, too.
I thought that DauT was done for when the crossbows infiltrated his camp and massacred the villagers. Great come-from-behind win. I don't get why Sitaux went for rattan archers, though. He should have gone for elephants much earlier.
No way this was the case. Daut had like 30 Monaspas agains lonely 15 halbs. What DauT did here is one of the things that keeps him relevant after all this years: his capacity to steamroll with a single powerful unit. The biggest gold units armies I’ve seen in pros’ 1v1 come from Daut. He’s pretty good at that.
I do wonder since we haven’t seen many games with them lately, has there been a massive update with the Lithuanians lately? It seems like no one wants to run as Lithuania nowadays.
I've noticed that too - nothing really changed with Lithuanians so I think it's more of players opting for civs like the Georgians that do things better than Lithuanians. If you want to mass cavalry or build castles into a high attack cav UU, Georgians are simply better: better UU (don't need to collect relics to get the bonus attack), passive healing and stronger eco with the churches. Georgians trash is arguably on par with full upgrades (sans last archer armor) and better eco while Lithuanians get tower shields and movement speed but less upgrades.
@@iamrapidrocket “so much better” is aggressive - comparing 1900+ win rate would say otherwise. Paladin takes too long and too expensive 1v1 - elite leitis is better provided you get the castles. I don’t think viper Hera and daut are trolling when they talk about Georgians potentially being best civ in game but to each their own
