Very emotional and the way that such a simple story has been presented and directed so the consumer feels all the emotions he wanted us to feel is amazing. Great job. My family and I used to go to places, like the beach, our farm, or to another city. My dad was the driver. Now when I think back, I think those were the happiest and least stressful times in my life. But when my dad passed away, it gave great impact on my family. We stopped going to places. We stopped eating dinner as a family. My self confidence dropped and I became distant with my own friends. My mom fell to depression. One of my brothers had recently been diagnosed with depression because of separation anxiety. For my other brother, my dad passed away on the same day as his graduation ceremony. Yes that really sucked. I kept asking my mom why dad had to die. Why he didn't even get a checkup in the hospital when he knew something was wrong with him. Why he died without giving me a warning. Because I've been asleep in his room when he died in the bathroom. I knew my dad was a nice man. No one I knew hated him. He was the only child to send some of his salary to help my grandparents. So he was a caring person. I was sort of a daddy's girl being the only daughter. He would not want me to be sad. He'd want all of us to move on. Id like to think that he's in heaven now watching over us. That thought is probably what keeps me strong now. And my mother strong.
Stay strong... My mom died from a heart attack when I was 6... I was living with my grandparents at the time and I literally found out on the way to my mom and dad's house... Sounded normal because we go there once a year for vacation... Until I found out the truth...... Anyway, we all have hardships, big or small, it just matters what we make of them...
This is a really good example of GREAT acting (by Naomi Scott). The concept and script could have easily been pretty bland and amateurish, but Naomi's acting is so great and she just has such a natural and comfortable charm to her that it totally carries this and turns it into something really pleasant to watch.

Just a great and simple film. I'm a film student and for our senior project we have to do a film no more than 15 minutes, and if you were going to my school this film would've been perfect. Only 2 locations, and a simple story line. I'm guessing low budget based on what I see, but I could be wrong. But super compelling, you can't take your eyes off and you're never bored. Amazing work, I would love to see more from you. Love the song at the end. Overall it kind of reminded me of "Me, Before You" especially the song. Again, great work!

I have a quick question for you. First off this was a really well done story, my question did you have to go through any rights issues to use Rogue Valley's Bay of Pigs? My friends and I are making a short film ourselves and I am planning to use this song myself so I wanted to know if there were any rights issues I had to deal with. Again great film.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. Yes you would need to contact the band. We contacted the manager and agreed a deal to use their song. So we had full permission from them to use the song. Hope that helps :) Good luck with the short!

I honestly look forward to this hitting the theaters as a full-length movie. It really managed to touch my heart. Thank you and congratulations to everyone involved
I can understand his situation even if he was acting... I lost my mom from a heart attack when I was 6... Been holding strong these past years... I'm 12 now... She got cremated... Just found out a year or so ago... Her ashes were divided between my little sister, my little brother, and I... they were put in little jars (as weird as that sounds) with butterflies on them... I got a pink jar with gold lines and butterflies... I have a single memory of her... It hurts so much that my siblings don't remember her...... Even if I only had one memory... I could tell. She never got unreasonably mad... She talked in a soft voice... She had blonde hair and I think blue eyes...... It's not fair... It's not fair... Why? Why did she die so young? She had her whole life ahead of her ...............Anyway, sorry for wasting your time for anyone who read this far... I was just using this to vent my frustrations... I'm sorry.
I will respect my mom more, and try harder to get along with her. Because I've lost so much, and I can't lose anyone else.... My Uncle's Memorial is coming, soon, just a few days, to a week, now, and I'm planning it out. There's been some people I had online friendships with that I've lost along the way, also. I have an online boyfriend, currently, he self-harms, and always contemplates suicide. I really don't want to be the one left sending a hundred texts every day and never getting a reply back.... not again.... This raised more awareness of the sorrows of death....
So incredibly beautiful and authentic...favorite short film of all time. I can't stop the tears every time I watch this. The little awkward moments of silence make it so pure, genuine, and completely flawless.
Lost dad, he was my best friend. He's still alive inside my heart. That's how I keep moving. I saw him get hit by a car on Christmas eve. I'm glad he didn't have to suffer, that's how he wanted to go. Love you dad
Oh my Holy God of Chocolate, I want to this as a full film/series on Netflix. I would literally pay to watch this. It's so darkly funny, because it's the sort of thing we do with deceased family. Go to where spread their ashes and I have a chat with them. One is in a beauty spot and my family go off and sit down to wait, and I have a chat with my mum. I get a LOT of weird looks as I appear to be chatting to a tree and calling it mum.......I really hope you take this further with these brilliant young actors. Toss the idea at Netflix and tell them to come here and look at the comments. So many of us LOVE this.
Wow what a beautiful encouraging comment. Thank you very much :) We really appreciate it. We are in fact writing this as a full length movie so when it's all ready we'll be sure to give Netflix a ring :) Thanks again for your comment. It means so much. Have a lovely weekend

And that's how you tell a simple but beautiful story. No need to go over the top. I LOVED how music was used very sparingly and brilliantly. Well done!
really lovely, a totally different take on something that is always romanticised. Thanks for the reality of this, it's hard sometimes, seeing things on TV and in movies, so glossed over, the pain of things turned into a montage that in reality we never get. It's seconds of minutes of hours of days of weeks of months of years that muddle together. It does get better but no one gets there at the same time. Thank you

This was so beautiful. Amazing short. The story, the cinematography, the acting, all fantastic. Would watch a feature length of this!
Throughout the vedio
Me: the girl has an indian accent
Meanwhile girl:I'm half indian
Me: great😙love from India sis.
A breeze of fresh air....love the movie as well as the song
Sarah Robinson 😊 this comment made my day, thanks Sarah glad you enjoyed it
Your reply to my comment made my day, glad you enjoyed it!
Did you lose a loved one?
well that was the most beautiful heartwrenching thing I've watched in a while. a piece of art.
Lost dad, he was my best friend. He's still alive inside my heart. That's how I keep moving. I saw him get hit by a car on Christmas eve. I'm glad he didn't have to suffer, that's how he wanted to go. Love you dad
This is my fave short film ever🤍 keep going View 35 Films I just adore your work✨😃
Wow thank you so much Aina :) Such a lovely comment to read & it means a lot!
I love this my father also passed away from lungs cancer 😭 watching thi I feel good
An absolutely wonderful film. Great acting from the two actors and the dialog was good. Beautiful chosen shots at the cemetery. Beautifully made!
@@View35Films - I mean it, seriously, please do; we NEED more new films with genuinely good, original storylines like this. Plus add in the excellent acting and cinematgraphy and it's a winner from the get go. You have a great week!
I also like the end. He misunderstood his father in the beginning...
And that's how you tell a simple but beautiful story. No need to go over the top. I LOVED how music was used very sparingly and brilliantly. Well done!
She is soooo cute....
And her sound is gorgeous....
I am repenting after watching this!! This is soo emotional!!! Damn!! I hope no one dies early!! Long Live Everyone!!
really lovely, a totally different take on something that is always romanticised. Thank you
We are so sorry for missing this comment Rue, but thank you so much for this, for watching and commenting and for catching the heart of this film. That means a lot. Hope you're doing well! :)
Wow! It is so cool to see someone who got a big role before they were famous. I can see why, she is a great actress!
BTW Hi Pink Ranger.
Every actor are so perfect in acting... It's like we get satisfied looking this video... Wants more of it
