Man it so sad that a lot of the younger generation these days don’t appreciate music like this.

South African hearts were captured by this sound of this guitar.. All our fathers danced to earl and played his music in the homes they built for us.. today I do the same for my child

I met Earl Klugh in September 2015 in Lusaka Zambia 🇿🇲. I was privileged to have been involved with organizing his concert. It was Earl Klugh's tour Concert to Zambia organized by Standard Bank Africa. He shared the stage with MiCasa and Oliver Mtukudzi. It was one of the greatest honours of my life to have taken a photo with Earl Klugh and to have him autographed one of my favourite CDs of his music. I have been collecting Earl Klugh's albums since my high school days back in the 90s and Whispers and Promises is one them in the basket. I love this guy's music from the bottom of my heart. His music has been part of me since yesteryears. I remember after taking a photo with him, I said to him; "Thank you Earl, it's been an honor and privilege to meet you, good bless you " his reply was "thank you, maybe we can meet again soon". It was indeed a privileged to have been a South African man 🇿🇦 in a foreign country; Zambia 🇿🇲 to meet one of my favorite music stars. I will certainly always cherish the moment ❤

The amazing thing about Klugh is that the second he starts to play you know its him even if you've never heard the song before. So distinctive so great.

When all the planets are aligned together, no words can explain this feeling, just the right moment in time where all the stress and pain are completely gone from our body and soul and the only thing you “feel” is the guitar singing you a song and telling a story! This man is legendary!! Still listening in 2021!!! May the planets align for you and everything in your life causing you pain and suffering goes away forever and be healed with music!! One of the Wonders of the World!! 😎🎶🎶🎶

Earl Klugh is in my opinion, "the greatest jazz guitarist of all time". He is creative and soulfully unique. His musical art form will last forever, and I will forever continue to be a member of his listening audience. 🐧🐧🏝Greetings from Barbados .

I have been a Jazz fan since the 70s, in the very early 80s I bought a high-end audio store from a very dear German friend who established it in 1966 it became a landmark in my city, I upgraded the store and in my sound rooms it was Earl Klugh and George Benson, Their Collaboration album is the best jazz album in my books in jazz.

The promises of life is what this song is all about. The love, laughter and joy that happiness brings! It takes me back to the beaches in my home state of Florida and the Islands of Jamaica, Cayman and Isle of Rottan.

I suffered a stroke over 17 years ago with consequent neurologic deficits but for some reason when I think of Earl Klugh, I think of Bob James also.
