To my proper music students it was heaven. I'm currently in the process of writing a pad out of music for a potential orchestra of 20 players. Strings (real not synthed) horns and yours truly on keys (a la Bob J). The music with be a tribute to all of my favourite players over the years.

real Masters at work! saw Bob James a few years ago in London, he is getting on a bit now but still loves to play and still very good. also saw Dave McMurray once, he is one heck of a Saxophonist and ain't that bad on the flute either....fantastic!

I had a girlfriend who introduced me to Bob's music around 1976. Saw a show or two of his. Still have lots of his records. Thanks, Kathy. Your musical taste was just one more reason to love you.

A magnificent piece of music to be listening intensely to the three different type of musical instruments which it can be combined together to perform brilliantly with the leading musician who happens to be playing a rhythm from his key board and being parallel with the flute player, the guitarists, and the drummer.

Thanks! I am a flute player who likes to sit in and improvise with almost any type of music including jazz. I have imitated, in a way, guitarists for my style. I am usually disappointed in the flutes I hear, especially with jazz, cuz they all seem to throw in lots of runs and trills without much real melodic substance and creativity of "story telling". But when I just heard this guy, I had to know who he was! I like what he had "to say" with his solo. I was impressed.
