We have been using homeschool manager but homeschool planet definitely looks like it makes planning the whole year out so much easier. I have to type in each individual assignment in homeschool planner and then if I need to reschedule I have to click and drag each assignment to another day. So I don't dare plan more than a week ahead because I would have to take ages to move everything if someone got sick. I think for next year we will be looking into hoemschool planet.

We were discussing Google Classroom and Hana (Pepper and Pine) suggested Trish could do a comparison video with Homeschool Panda. Cute intro, how I picture my mornings if I don't have a way to transfer lesson plans and schedules easily. Question I'm using multiple different homeschool programs so I have seperate lesson plans in different places...... did u type your whole plan or copy and paste or import lessons?
I have the trial, is the trial at full functionality? Because it seems I cannot undo things or erase them from where I am at or in a very direct manner. Like when I try to change the last day of school for a class it won't allow me to even click on any date past the date I initialy selected
Hello! I've been using Homeschool Planet since August of last year and I can't figure out how to print it and have it look right 😒 So I print it in month format but it's still not perfect. I want to print it in WEEK format in landscape but it's not working for me. How do you print it for your kiddos? Thank you for all your videos they are a blessing! I hope to do another DITL here pretty soon! And for the printing, I view 1 child at a time for just the week, then in the upper right hand I click PRINT. YOu may have your computer settings tweaked weird, so maybe try to adjust those (because once mine were printing weird and we had to tweek our print settings) Hope that helps!

Ok so maybe I’m crazy but could you please explain to me how you get homeschool planet? I went to the website and did all the prompts but still can’t figure out how to get in to this planner .? Please help ...!
i absolutely LOVE using paper planners but honestly...with my second child creeping up to kinder and then knowing i will eventually be schooling 3 kids.. all the erasing will drive me insane. we are so busy now too with my husband working two jobs and me doing pre reqs..i am really starting to feel like im spending too much time planning on paper and would rather do it electronically so i can have more time to do other things...like taking pictures or writing in my journal ABOUT the hs day rather than rearranging our school week because our vacation went longer, you know? what is the cost for the program? do you happen to know if its available to Canadians? i think this would save me so so much more time. homeschool planet this is a good review! you should give it to her for free because i am sold ;) :P
It is about $80/yr. what you mentioned (vacations, kids get sick, we didn't get to an assignment that day- then EVERYTHING needs to be pushed back and rearranged) is exactly why this is awesome! one click and the WHOLE schedule is shifted for the year! amazing!
You can try using Google Calendar, which is free. All you have to do is make a calendar for each child and a calendar for family. To make repeating lessons you just create a repeating event (a google search can show you how to make a calendar or repeating event-- it's easy). title the event "do 1 lesson from 2nd grade math book" or whatever applies. select the correct kid's calendar and you're done. this lets you put your lessons in time slots within a day too, which is nice for planning your school day. Google Calendar doesn't let you make different numbered lessons on each day, but that's going to change anyway because you'll get ahead or behind.

when you purchase the year I got 1 curriculum free. If you want to buy them I think they are a couple bucks, it was worth it to me to have it all planned for the whole year and really didn't have to do a thing!

Yes, I print out their weekly calendar. but you could print the schedule for that specific day. it is amazing!

This planner has the ability to input all different curricula that you are using into 1 master schedule. it is wonderful!
I use a paper planner and love it however I can see how this could be beneficial with several children 🙂
