We balled like babies the first time we heard this song and we literally cry every time we hear it and I'm teared now as I write this. Seeing our daughter in this video just makes hard to even express in words how eternally grateful we are for Chevel Shepherd and her family. We watched her from the very begging of The Voice and were fortunate enough to be from her home town in Farmington which caused our paths to cross. I can say unequivocally that she has one of the most authentically bright souls of anyone we've ever been around. Fame hasn't changed her one bit and I feel like that is so rare today. Her God given talent combined with her beautiful soul makes her such an important force in this world, we just consider it a privilege to say we know her. This song, it's meaning, the sound, her voice...it's all perfection. We love you Chevel. Thank you so much for touching our daughters life, and for setting such a powerful example. Her bodily suffering has ended and she's home with the lord in her eternal heavenly body. She was a faithful servant on earth and fought the good fight.
