    Thank you for the video. Do you have a video on tour air box filer? I live out of the country and the air box may be accessible. Thank you again.

    • @zimmtex

      I know I have talked about it in a video or two, but I don't remember which one. I used a box fan with 24"x24" air filters for a long time. It's important to point the fan away from you (preferably to an open window or door), then put the filter on the intake side to catch overspray. Good ventilation is key.

    If you're going to get a spray paint module, you definitely can't go wrong with that one. I'm seriously considering getting one now. Hope they can drliver to Ireland.

    I had the first generation of that same paint booth...lots of problem...cheap water pump...those sponges were not catching the paint very good...use RainX on the water curtain really helps the way the water flows.ended up getting rid of it and Bought a Pace 30" booth....now I can spray solvent base no issues

    • @zimmtex

      Glad to hear you found something that works better for you. Hopefully they fixed some of those issues with this new model. Thanks for the tip with rain-x.

    Nice little rig. My setup is a bit much 😅. I build and paint 1/72 scale airplane models (affectionately called braille scale) and I have a dollar store clear plastic box 9""x12" with a 4" hole in the back for an inline fan that I found in the ganjaneering section of amazon. I have zero trouble spraying lacquer based paints with this setup. Masked up, hoodie up, glasses on, fire extinguisher handy if my vent pipe ever starts sounding like a pulse jet. I would love to have your exhaust booth.

      Yes. I'm working on getting that done soon.

  • @shawnfreeman4768

    If you go to the website and zoom in on the booth there the protective edge that you took off is on that one. It’s most likely so you don’t get cut on it.

    • @zimmtex
      @zimmtex  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, I'll have to look at that.

    Good vid! Do you feel you have enough working space inside the booth? It looks like your working platform is pretty small. I primarily build models, so wasn't sure if it was too small of an area.

    • @zimmtex
      @zimmtex  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I think it's big enough for most of my projects. Sometimes I build outlandish things that this won't work for, but I really like the size of this booth.

    Is the fan explosion proof?

    • @zimmtex
      @zimmtex  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I'm not sure, probably not. The only 'explosion proof' fans I have ever found cost thousands of dollars. I did build a completely metal duct alk the way to the outside. In any case, I'm not really worried about acrylics and inks.

      @@zimmtex I gotcha,,, Life can do that to us. You kinda mentioned it in the above video.. I was wondering hehehehe. No rush...Hey..On a side note... I build professional fishing rod wrappers, dryers, and tools. I also have a starter kit and along with rod blanks with fuji components.. so someone wouldn't be out of pocket when the start out on their 1st rod. I use to sell them on my website and ebay 6 or 7 years ago until I had my 4th back surgery and now I only do them for family and friends for free or I'll do a little bartering every once in a while...I know you are all covered up.. But if you ever get a hankering to build your own custom fishing rod..Again.. I retired and I mainly do them for free or a little bartering ever once in a while. let me know..

    I was wondering if this is the v110 model or the v220 model in voltage, I'd like to know the differences?

    • @zimmtex
      @zimmtex  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is the 110v model. I don't know that there are any differences in performance. I think it's just a matter of what your power source is.

      @@zimmtex thank you I was confirming because there was a restock but there’s no comparison video of both whether if it’s the air intake or water flow of the transformer made any difference.
