That was very interesting, I feel the Karate man was lucky that he knew how to fall when being thrown, had he not known how to roll out of the throws the Aikido man was doing on his attacks he would have certainly broken his neck. That was a good contest between the two arts, they appeared to be equal. It is also very lucky that the Aikido man didn't get struck with one of those spinning kicks of the karate man, it would have knocked him cold, all the kicks were countered with non aggressive movements.
Those aikido guys must have excellent balance and could mess you up if they ever got hold of your wrist or fingers. But I don’t see how you could test it cause it seems that these demonstrations require cooperation with the opponent.
If your opponent doesn't cooperate it may end up really bad for them. Is it that difficult to understand? There's a reason why in Aikido we learn how to roll out of these throws. Cuz you'll be basically super hurt if you don't roll out of them, and we want to train with that person again later. For almost every Aikido technique, there's a counterpart that will 100% hurt, no matter what.

The music honestly ruined it. It is a demo where you showcase and share you skills and knowledge, not an epic fight.

Aikido does not attack, just defence. Those attacks techniques by the the aikido man look very stupid.
