    A halfway decent kickboxer can completely fuck any aikidoka up

    • @JustMe-vz3wd
      @JustMe-vz3wd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      guess what, if we want to win a kickbox sports fight, we would be learning kickboxing.
      besides that, if you are so in love with violence and "fucking people up" , why spend many hours a week training kickboxing? better buy a pocketknife for a few bucks. or carry a small hammer.
      the martial art truth however is that martial arts are designed to resolve fighting WITH THE MINIMUM AMOUNT of violence. That, is the martial challenge.
      oh and by the way, kickboxing is not martial art but a fighting sport. nothing wrong with that, they are true dedicated sportsmen, respect! but the attitude and rules for fighting sports and martial arts are almost oposite.
      lastly, you dont see aikidokas trolling your kickboxing channels, yes or no? so stop trolling, try to understand the differences, and show more respect.

    • @markkok8608

      @@JustMe-vz3wd the difference between what works in a dojo and what works on the streets is the biggest in aikido. Almost nothing translates to good self defense. It looks cool but it has no further use.

    • @JustMe-vz3wd
      @JustMe-vz3wd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markkok8608 Thats just your mindset. on the schoolyard two little boys fighting sure kickbox techniques will be handy. Real life? I mean, REAL LIFE?
      -What are you going to do with agressive strangers ordinary loudmouths like during aroad rage incident? Punch and kick them in the face? You are now legally the agressor and will be arrested.
      -what are you going to do with a resisting shoplifter in your shop? punch and kick? again, .legally you are now in deep shit.
      - even with a streetfight what you are thinking of, a fistfight, escalating might be not so smart if it turns out the other guy is better than you. you will be at the losing end of a fight you escalated yourself . You might end in a pool of blood on the concrete, braindamage....is a real possibility.
      Aikido might be smarter strategy. At least you can control the agressor.
      lastly, in a sportsfight i surely lose, there is no motivation for me, and many rules.
      in a real fight, not so sure. if its life or death situation, one aikido move can kill you. its a soft fall on the mat, but aimed well, you might not get up when your head hits the concrete. or when my friendly aikido technique is slightly modified into breaking-your-arm mode. or a simple punch to your throat. whatever. if youthinkyour kickbox tricks work in a real death or life fight, you might get a surprise.
      lastly, again, if you are into violence , why not just buy a simple switchblade.
      we, aikido, we train to solve things with little violence as possible.

      Nobody is pretending that there is a real fight... This is just a demonstration of principal Aikido techniques. And: Aikido is a school of movement and has its origin in Samurai techniques - it's a good way to learn about Budo princips. There is (almost) nobody who really would say Aikido is for self defence or real fights.
      It's like you would say: Hey, I've been learning Latin for 10 years and now I'm able to speak Italian and Spanish! The aim of learning Latin is not to speak real languages. And the aim of practicing Aikido is not to fight in a MMA Tournament.
      (By the way: even MMA and self defence have a lot of differences... It depends every time why do you practicing and for what)

    • @jd5787
      @jd5787 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is a martial art, not something to be used IRL. I did wushu at Christian Tissier's dojo. The teacher told us multiple times that we were learning something ancient and cool but that in a real fight, the real winner is the one who doesn't take part. If you still had to fight, don't even try wushu unless the guy in front of you is stupid enough to have a wushu contest with you...
